That is a painful way to start out my first 'check-in' of Yotatech for the day! Wow, hope he's ok, man!

Holy Crapula, ... I can't believe I didn't see that was why you were pulling the bed... I'm SORRY, man! Yeah, and not having a GOOD cap CAN cause issues, for sure! Toyota sells them pretty cheap, actually... I still have one I bought almost 20 years ago on my 87 that I bought 10 years ago! hahaha. They last a long time... However, unfortunately, I couldn't seem to find a locking cap from them. My gas/door locks, but still.... I'd feel better, ya know? lol.

No need to clean up the frame chef, started cleaning some of the mud off and it still has perfect factory black paint on it!

That truck rolled hard, glad to see your buddy was alright for the most part. He probably still feeling muscles he didnt know existed, but sounds like all will be ok.

Sounds like he got to fix his dads truck too. If that is the case, and the frame is still good, the drivetrain is probably alright. A body swap isnt bad to do.

Getting the bed bolts is the toughest part of getting the bed off. Other then that it easy and makes getting to things in the rear so much easier. While having it off, just for good meausre, I would squirt down the screws that go to your fuel assembly just incase somewhere down the road you need to work inside the tank. Help to keep those screw from rusting up. It is a common problem.
