Looking great!!! I am not sure how to post with a phone but if you click the Edit button, You will see the [IMG...IMG] and that is the one you want to post. If you cant do it from your phone, I can do that part for you. If you want to remove the top link in your thread, I will leave that to you do. With the link that you have it is just a quick click for me to do.

thanks, I got the ifs gear box all cleaned up and painted today I'm just deciding if I should just bolt it on the frame or buy the trail gear weld on mount. I don't know if I really wanna weld I'd have to refinish the frame.

If you mounted the springs forward you'll need to but if you didn't you'll be fine. I had no problems.

That I can't say for sure i don't know if there is a difference in steering box mounting location. I'm curious to know if you don't have the ifs frame any more I can measure mine. I'll have to go from the radiator support most likely. I'm pulling my front fenders today so should have a good view.

well looks like I'm at a slight stand still for a week or so. I need to order the bracket from trail gear for the gear box. I also need to call the dealership and see if they can get me the exhaust bracket to hang up the cat to the frame and the rear hanger from the frame down the the issolator

So the build idea has changed, I just want to clear this up. Originally the truck in pieces was going to be the project. now I have the 85 frame and solid axle. but the body of the original build the 86 was in better shape so im going to be doing a body swap. So should a moderator move this to the 84, 85 build section?

It is starting to look like a 4Runner again.

You can keep it here if you want. I can easily move it but have to get help with a Thread Name change. If you are going to just swap the frames I would just keep in this section. The 84/85 section does not get as noticed as much as this section does.

If it was my build I would keep it here but I will move if you want me too. Just let me know which you would like.

It can just stay, ad long as you're fine with it. I have to get that body off of it and the other one to the body shop. I still have so much work to do its discouraging.

One reason I do like projects of what you are doing is that you can take your time and do it a slow steady pace. You can also clean and fix several issues that get over looked on these trucks that most are not aware of. I despise working on daily drivers. Not a big fan of even doing oil changes, but on a project it is so much easier.

Congrats on getting a shop, that is a project in itself but is so nice when you can just walk in, flip on a light switch. I use a barrel stove for heat and am getting ready to get me a window unit for ac. Does not have to be cold to work in, just cool or comfortable.

http://www.garagejournal.com/ has some great tips on setting up a shop.

Its pretty nice its 28x32 I have my Tacoma in one side and both my 4runners in the other. Its crazy how much smaller these old trucks are compared to my Tacoma. Right now I'm saving up for all the body panels in going to need to replace.
