Fan switch is in and working, waiting for x-mas break on the efi.

I should pull the injectors and send them in to be cleaned out.

Looks like this is some of my axle wrap noise while wheeling.. driveline hitting the gas tank skid

Inspired by terry, and decided to clean it up and hammer it back into shape

Wow!! Looks great. Thanks for the compliment. I try to make my builds inspiring. I appreciate it. I am always under them for some reason and dont like all of the grime falling down on me. I spend about as much of the time washing under the truck as the top.

Hope the move goes great for you.

I am having issues with Shaking while driving..

It used to happen while braking, after taking off the front wheels to put in new braided lines it shakes while driving, seems to happen when I disengage the cluth.

the steering wheel and the shifters shake. It used to keep shaking even after I let off the brakes. So I am not entirely sure its.

Front rotors?
Rear Diff?
Steering dampner is no good
Tie rod ends

I did put the fron end on jack stands and moved the steering back and forth from the wheels and didn't see any play.

there is only about and inch of play in the steering wheel.

and I bought some 25gram airsoft pellets to put in the tires... but the don't fit down the stem and it was too late in the evening to try and pull off the bead on the tires..

I'm not confident I'll be able to put the bead back on.

made some progress..

Steel braided lines added
fresh transmission fluid
fresh fluid in the rear diff

Are you calipers fully releasing? I suspect you have a warped rotor. May just need to go get them turned at your local parts store.

Another possibilty as far as shaking all the time is a busted belt in one of your tires. That is why I put on the 31 on my 88. I had Hankook tires and busted a belt. To get a exact match it was $194 for one tire. I found the used 31s for $200 for all 4 tires.

A busted belt will vibrate badly and not be flat. On your last wheeling trip, did you by chance bend a rim? Take your tires and have them balanced and that should eliminate a tire and rim quickly.

If you think it is in your steering linkage, Toyota had a recall on the 4wd. Not sure if it covers our generation, but does the 89-95, and see if the recall was done on it.

Good job on your progress.

pair of thirds!
does that make 2/3's

both are 4.88's ones missing three teeth.. so I'm going to need another 4.88, set up kit, solid sleeve and a spartan!

so who makes this gear set?

going to replace both pinion seals.....

anything else I should do while I have em out..

the shakes you have could be what i have heard called "death wobble" theres a long list of stuff to check. loose front end parts. alignment, worn spring bushings, and so on

nice 4.88 gears. wish i got mine installed already... sigh lol depending on how much you wanna spend but it wouldnt hurt to replace all the bearings since its already all apart
