Thanks and long bed FTW! My buddy's girlfriend made the stickers for me. I could ask her if she can make another set if you want.

Not much was accomplished between yesterday and today. All I got done was the sliders welded together, painted and ready to weld to the frame. And the hinges for the tire carrier came.

Got a bunch of goodies in the mail today. Slam shut latches for the tire carrier. Flush mount weld through receiver hitch and weld through shackle mounts for the rear bumper and shock tabs to weld in the bed for tie down points. Just waiting on the tire mount plate.

Made some good progress in the last couple weeks.

Made a rear bumper and welded it to the frame. The shackle lugs were 7/16" steel so I borrowed a bigger welder for this job. It was a Chicago Electric 220v from Harbor Freight, running .030 flux core wire. I was really impressed with the welder. Once dialed in, it layed some very nice beads and made some solid welds. For the price, I may have to pic one up. The plasma cutter made the bumper build so easy. I'm not sure how I would have cut all the holes(6) in the bumper without it.

Didn't have a torque wrench light enough to set pinion preload. Got it taken care of with a pull scale and a little bit of math. Helps to have an engineer friend on hand.

Nice work on that rear bumper, looks really clean. Man that 3rd member had a ton of sludge! Also are you ever going to switch over to a more rock crawler based suspension? Like high steer and bigger springs?

Well, good to see another Baltimoron on the boards, welcome. Nice build, bad luck with the deer, this is one reason why I'm trying to get a stout front bumper on my rig ASAP. I fear the kamikaze Bambi.
How can you drink Coors, and name your dog Natty Boh?.... Blasphemy.

On a serious note, if you need a hand massaging the th sheet metal from the deer damage shoot me a PM, I'd be glad to lend a hand to get your ride sorted. I was a AutoBody collision technician in my past life, I still have my body tools.

Looking forward to your build process, s'cribed.

Thanks man. I drink Coors occasionally, please forgive me. The biggest problem from the crash is the bent frame. Once I get that straightened the only other significant damage was the core support. I cut a good one out of another truck so my spot weld drill will be getting a work out. I'll gladly except any help I can get as I haven't done much body work.

Something that's worrying me is how to straighten the front clip. It's pushed towards the passenger side about an inch but none of the fenders appear to be damaged. Will it straighten itself out once the frame is straight and I remove the mangled core support?

ouch, that totally sucks after seeing the paint on her, it might be core upport or the fram might be tweeked ever so slightly, could pay a couple hundred bucks to have your local body shop tjhrow it on the frame rack just for insurane

Yeah, the frame is visibly bent. I hit the pole on the end of the driver side frame rail while sliding 45 degrees sideways. The driver frame rail is pushed in just by looking at it. Also, when I put a "new" hood and hood hinges on it and lined it up with the cowl, the front drivers side edge of the hood overlaps the driver side fender by at least an inch. On the passenger side at the front of the hood and fender, there is a gap the same amount as the driver side hood overlap.

I really need to get the frame sorted so I can get the front suspension, hi-steer and exo cage done. This total build stand still is killing me because wheeling season is here and I really need to start denting it up on the trail instead of the road.
