Hey Dsmer, just read thru your thread. Good looking rig man. Love the color. U put a lot of work in her. I recently started bringing my '85 p/u back from the dead. Had a ?. U stated u put a new gasket in for windshield. Did u pull windshield ? Can't tell in pics. Or just cleaned up the groove around wshield and put dealer in with new gasket embedded in it. Just wondering where I can get a rubber gasket for mine. Thanks

Meant put sealer in. Oh and the stripes would look killer on the body.

As far as the window gasket, I just called a local windshield service and he came out cut the glass out and reinstalled it with a rubber gasket... The stripe guy completely bailed on me so the stripes are on hold... I've just about got my 3rz ready to go in, I'll post some pics this weekend...

Hey DSMer, looking good man, that motor looks like it belongs there. I don't know much about newer Toy motors and I suck at wiring. Hope u can get it figured out and get her running. R u using stock trans and tcase from an '85 with that engine ?

Yeah wiring is not really my specialty! My brother has done a couple different motor swaps in his mr2 days... As far as the tranny it's a the stock w56 with a bell housing from the w59.... The bell housing bolts right on...

Here's a couple pics of the install! And one video of me testing out the cluster and my tach fix! My oil pressure gauge is dead because I wired in the factory 3rz one and I believe it's just a dummy light.. The top pic is where I decided to mount the obd2 connector, the second pic is what I did to rewire my tach since the output for the tach is off the computer...

Sounds good.
I didn't see the oil pressure come up much. I would be concerned about that.

Yeah I mentioned that I originally installed the cluster with the 3rz sender which turned out to be just a dummy light.. I think it burned up my factory gauge so Ill be replacing that part of my cluster....
