Gotta start hanging out in the 84-85 area. I get stuck in the 86-95 section. You guys have nice rides here. Looking forward to your build.

Went down to my local Pepboys and got two cans of foaming degreaser and a bottle of purple power, put one can of foaming degreaser and let sit for 10-15 minutes and put on another coat for another 10-15 minutes... Took my dads little electric power washer to it and that got about %70 of the crap off.. Then I used the purple power, a scrubbing brush, and some good ol elbow grease... I still need to do the bottom! Hope that helps out!

so why did you part the 87 instead of just keeping it and then getting a new front end and motor for the 85?

To put it simply, money... Im sure that a lot of you guys understand that it is not cheap owning a older vehicle... I have a lot of plans for the runner(lift, dual cases, and Im even in the process of rebuilding a 3rz to swap in)... So I just decided that I needed the runner more than the truck (have a g/f and two kids and the truck only seats one passenger).. SOOO I decided to use my truck and get my runner going, the 3rz will be on hold until the money thing gets better....

You got that looking clean. Glad to see you are getting several parts sold and keeping other trucks on the road. I have subscribed but had gotten any notices. Subscribing again.
