Update 3-23-14
Still waiting on the NWOR springs to show up.
Finally got all the from 2wd stuff cut and ground off. I let the kids do this however they felt was the best way. Seemed like it took forever but they got the job done. Mostly used a sawzall, grinder and a hand sledge to do the work.
Also ended up getting both axles off the frame and sent the frame outside so we have a little more room.
I had them using the Hotsy to clean up the axles and get all the nasty mudd off of them. I think that we are going to try and paint them tomorrow or sometime this week. We might as well make them look nice while them are out.

I am all the way in the very far southwest corner of Missouri. Oklahoma and Arkansas make up tow of the county lines. I go to the quad cities up in Iowa and Illinois every once in awhile.
I have never noticed that bar on the drivers side and going to the front of the frame, by the motor mount on a two wheel drive before. If my old two wheel drive had it, I really do need to get my eyes checked.

Things are finally coming together. The NWOR springs and u-bolts showed up yesterday and were waiting at my front door when I got home from work!
Now that the axles are out, the kids have been cleaning them up and trying to get things in order to start installing them.
Front axle is off and getting ready to be cleaned up.
Rear axle has been wire wheeled and painted with some universal black paint that we had. Something just to make it look nicer while it can.
Hopefully this week we can start making the shackles and get everything ready to bolt up next week. I am going to have to purchase the Pins from NWOR to fix the springs to the frame. I waited to do this until I was sure that was the route we were going to take.

Update 3-26-14
We were able to get the old front leafs off without damaging the front shackles. We are not going to use them, But I always like to try and remove things properly. You never know when you might actually need them or end up using it as a reference.
A couple of my really good solid workers hammered the rest of this out and got the leaf packs totally off of the frame. We are going to start pressing out the OEM shackles today.
On the agenda for today is to start making the shackles and try to order the bolts/pins for the springs from NWOR.
I am also going to take some measurements from the tubes on the 84 frame since we are going to try and make those as well.
Will report back later.

Thanks for the tip on the shackles.
I see that you live in Salisbury, MD. If its the same Salisbury MD that was not far from Grantsville, MD or Mt. Davis, PA, I grew up in those parts. My parents had a place right on the border of Forbes state forest across the road from MT. davis, PA.

Update 3-28-14
Still going at it hard over here. I had the kids cut out some steel for the shackles from a piece of 1/4 that I had sitting around.
Heres after they were finished cutting. They were able to get out 8 of them before the day was out.
Thata about all we were able to get done yesterday since we are going through Ncarmen91's truck in the shop as well. But we should have his finished up by the end of the day today.

Update 4-1-14
I just placed and order with Skys offroad for the Frame tubes with bushings and a jig kit. Found them to me the best price overall.
I tried ordering the pins and bolts from NWOR but they are sold out at the moment. So I am going to head to the hardware store to pickup something equivalent in the meantime so I can hang springs.
