Did you make the light tabs or buy them?

they were some pre made ones from a while ago. I have going to use them for making upper shock mounts, but lights sounded better.

after a mix up with what t case I have, I finally got m twin stick! I also got about $400 bucks to spend that I got from some spare change I have collected over the years. Im looking into 3 things to get that are in and around that price. an Elocker, Winch, or 4.70 tcase gears. I just cant decided. anyones input would help.

go with the 4.7s. unless you plan on wheeling by yourself all the time, a winch wont be necessary as long as you got someone to yank you out. with the 4.7s you will be able to do work on the rocks. just my opinion

Rock Sliders Part 1

felt like some Fab work today. probably could have finished them in 1 day, but i didnt have access to my buddys shop because his brother Transfer case exploded. so grinding and welding plus open t case dont mesh well so ill break up the work into a couple weeks. this is what i got so far.

got some caps to make then attach to the truck but pretty good amount done for a couple hours.

nothing beats California in the winter. 70 degrees and sunny. thought i would add that on for all of you under snow.

63" chevys

Just finished getting them all set up today. I pulled them off a 1989 chevy 2500 4wd. i was looking for some 1500 ones but these looked the best on weren't missing parts. im still waiting on uBolts from marlin and new bushings from summit. then these springs will go in.

im trying to figure out what packs to run and how to do it. im going to try all 4 leafs minus the over load and see what i think, if they are too still ill pull the bottom leaf.

63" chevys installed

so finally got a free day and went right too fixing my rear spring issue. everything went in as planned. and I'm happy with the result.

Before.

After ! with only about 1 inch of lift, so I dont even need to change the front yet.

im running the 3 top leafs from an 1989 chevy k2500, it was a 4 pack with an over load, I ditched the overload and the lower high arc leaf, and boy do these things ride amazing.

I went with the Chevy shackle inside the stock Toyota shackle, with i guess is called a missing link set up. I still need to put some bumpstops in so keep them from hitting the frame when i go over big bumps. once i get that done and bump stops back in I cant wait to flex it out and see how i goes.

flex pictures coming soon.

you can, I have not had any training, Just watching other people do it. an angle grinder and a welder can almost get you everything you need to fab mucho! its alot of fun to make your parts rather than buying them.

Man i love your build! I have been following it since you started and have done many similar things to my truck also on a college student budget. I plan to do the 63" chevy springs soon too and just finished building a rear bumper that is nearly identical to yours. Thanks for the great thread. It looks like you got some new u bolts? Is that necessary for this swap? Also, what did you use for the new front mounts? How far did you move the front mount? Once again, awesome thread man
