oh you poor Californians my tabs are $58 a year registered as a 1 ton so its allowed to be this tall and no emissions required for vehicles 25+ yrs old not to mention there are only 5 counties in Washington that require emissions for vehicles that are newer so you just register in a different county if for some reason you wont pass or your cheap like me lol

Well I went and picked up the blue truck on Saturday it was in rougher shape than I thought but not to bad so I bought it. Well I found out the hard way that a Uhaul car trailer doesn't have straps big enough to secure a truck with 35in tires we had to deflate them to get the truck home.
So with the truck home and air back in the tires this is how it looked. If it looks like it was drug out of a field after sitting for 9 years It is because it was

So this is what I am working with now lets step back and take a look at what I have just purchased I've got a good amount of work ahead of me but my truck and wallet will be better off after this project.
When I showed up I was greeted by the pleasant surprise of a set of 35x12.50 Kelly Safari MSR tires with nearly all the tread left just 9 years old
Now time for the bad here is the 3.blow which has done its job well she popped with 280k on her not too shabby
Custom aftermarket mouse nest
Custom vented Smitty Built Front bumper
Suspiciously missing vin plate the registration only matches the dash and come back as an 85 standard cab... lol
The pressure washer revealed the extent of the rust and the poor prep for the blue paint. she was originally silver
Missing bed mounts
Dent in passenger door I'll take care of that

This is part three of an update please read the above two posts.
Now the fun part began This this was a bio hazard inside I found everything but the kitchen sink. The previous owner was ready to party Found items include; an unopened 9 year old pack of Kamel Reds, tampons, condoms, rolling papers, ibuprofen, A possession of marijuana ticket, baby powder, some personal notes, and tons of marlboro miles. lots of other junk as well.
Here we go
Making some progress and found a lot less rust than I was expecting
Almost filled the garbage can with just junk from the cab
This is the worst rust spot on the cab not bad at all
More cleaning and a mystery dent in the floor
More jenky stuff in the bed not sure why they did this but i pulled it off the rust under was minor so i assume it happened because of this stupid liner. I forgot to snap a pic of what was under
Here is a bonus shot of the awesome sleeves made out of sockets and some more nasty garbage lol

Wow, (Bio-Hazzard) you weren't kidding, I thought the interior on my 87' 4runner was the worst I had ever seen until I saw pics of yours, lol. But when I was cleaning out mine, I found a folded up $10 dollar bill, so at least I got paid for part of my labor, (I work for cheap) lol.
Looks pretty solid, how much of the blue truck are you going to swap over? From your pics of the rollover it looked like your cab and driver side door and fender took most of the impact, couldn't really tell if your bed or passenger side got any damage.

Sorry for the slow progress havent had as much time for the truck as I would like however I have made some progress all i have left to pull the cab off is brake lines, fuel lines, the rear cab bolts, and the ebrake. Here are some pics
Things are starting to get serious here we go stripping everything off so i can do a full restore
Wiring harness was a pain but i got it out intact
more progress
shes getting skinnier lol
Sure is a big pile...
Found a bit of rust nothing i cant handle though
