Talk about a PITA cleaning everything up! Thats just one side! This should bring you up to speed to where the truck sits now. Hopefully in a couple of days I will start going back together with it.

Man, it looks like you are really making some progress on your rig. I have a million pics of a couple of builds but have not posted any. You got me fired up! I am coming to town this weekend and will grab you a gift bag full of stuff you need. Just text me and if I got it I will bring it. Tell the old man I said hey.

Man thought you would never get on here again.. And I will tell him, still need everything we talked about. Getting the knuckles cleaned up ready to put back together. Hopefully she will be drive able by the weekend. That's the plan anyway. Been waiting on you to find your way back down south. I could use the hand in the shop as you know my dad never gets around here anymore

Well, I need a ton of stuff and goose is just looking for any part that is better than what he has.
Most of all, I need front 4.88 gears. That way I can drive this truck this weekend! The other parts are parts that I plan on buying new unless I find a used one in good shape.
I need some advice on the steering up front if I can ever get the pictures to load to bring the build back up to speed. Hopefully it wont be long and I can get them up.

Ha, I may be doing the same thing.. I haven't pulled any plugs on them to check them. My pics finally loaded on photobucket. So this is where the question comes in. Do you think the steering box is far enough forward? Are the arms far enough apart? I can take more pics if need be?

Thanks socal, nothing is tight at this point! I want to make sure it is all right before I start welding and bolting it for good just in case I have to take it back apart. There looks like there is plenty of room for the pitman are to clear. I'll be sure to double check before I weld it up. Gotta work tonight and Thursday so it will be friday night before I can get back on it. Hopefully I will find a set of gears so I will have it back on the road by next week. Not looking good on the front gears.

The PO put a 4 inch kit on the truck. He went the cheap route so the rear has blocks. He couldn't remember what brand the lift is though. It is working out pretty well so far. I've had fun with it. I'm just ready to get the truck back on the road! The steering should be near finished by Sat. Thats the plan anyways, but my luck nothing happens like it's supposed to. We will see.

?
My box sits right around there...just make sure the sector shaft nut is tight and its not going to push the pitman arm up(if it wasnt tightened) into the frame. keep it up!
