1985 4runner rock crawler build

Just bought this 85' runner the other day, my first toyota (former jeep guy )
Been looking for a good condition 85' for awhile now and I finally got my hands on one!

This will be my on-going build up thread for this truck and I plan to do a lot in the next while

Plans:
-lift
-35's
-lockers
-armor
-dual transfer cases
-gears

Looks a lot like my new '85, except yours has a cleaner body, I'll be watching your build for sure. Have you decided on a lift yet?

Your 4Runner looks great. When I picked up my '85 4Runner earlier this year, I saw this one for sale shortly after. If I did not get mine I would have definitely picked up this one. Look forward to seeing the progress on this build!

Yesterday I removed the ridiculous "custom" rear bumper that came with the truck, made the ass end look much better. Also took off the mud flaps..

Took the top off for the first time to get it sanded and repainted. Love the way these runners look topless!
