THanks, I like that topper myself. Can't really figure out why. Rollbars are cooler. But, the topper seems to complete that package someway. Plus, it's very handy.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out. It's like they were there and POOF, they're gone. lol. It's just the plastic housings they're on the inside that simply vanished while it sat up in the barn and the lights were left literally dangling.

Truck bling:
KC lightcovers on.
truck shift knob
cool front plate
gathering mounting hardware for old bugshield. That's an adventure in itself. It's got to fit perfectly or it'll blow off.
pix coming soon.
Hopefully me and wife gonna take it out this weekend, sunroof out, and just ride around awhile.

That's the original key and lot sticker I drove her off the lot with. lol.
Next up is exhaust this Thursday. I know she'll get more umph after that. Compression.
And I'm working on parking brake parts. Much better than the stick of wood I carry in the bed.

Glad you were able to find one. I went back up to the junkyard here last Friday, and that guy wanted crazy prices and wasn't about to come down. Oh well, we tried for ya.

Not sure what this setup is called, but I need it. The black part is absolutely broken, but the blue vent I can make work.
What is that black part even called?

Been driving her some, mostly on Sundays. Get lots of looks. One guy hollared at me out his window at the redlight and said 'WHAT YEAR?' LOL.
It is a head turner.
Still lots to do.
Having fun with it though.

Lol. I know that. I. I'm talking about that black part behind the vent. I can make the actual vent work I think.
But that black part that connect to the blue heater vent itself...
That is the jacked up part.

I don't remember mine coming apart like that. If I recall that should be part of the heater box??? Maybe a 2 part epoxy to put it back together?

Hey yotantn, had a quick question. Recently scored an '83 dash I've been wanting since I found it a year ago. Really dirty but otherwise in good shape and I think all there with minor cracks in dash and original Toy radio. Havnt looked at my hacked up trucks dash in awhile and was wondering on the lower left of dash as your looking at it, what that control is for ? Left of steering column. The dash I just picked up didn't have a knob on and I'm trying to figure out how to get it out of dash. Took the whole dash apart to clean and paint, that's the last piece to get out. Interior light control is what I'm thinking. Any idea how that comes out ? I see there is 2 holes on front side, thinking that just turns out. Sorry not such a quick ?. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey bud. Congrats on the dash.
That's a light dimmer and good freaking luck on getting it out.
I took mine out to be painted and that's the only thing I had to tape up for painting. I never did get it out.
Taking that dash in and out was not as easy as said to be. Lol.
But mines back in, new dash pad, just waiting on the bezel and radio from another member here. Should be here this week.

Thanks, will b a while before I try and piece together the dash and interior of my '83. Just wanted to clean and paint it up and fix small dash cracks for if and when I can install it. Good job on getting dash back together. Are you going to install a Toyota radio ?
