A combination of my grandmothers seamstress skills and my fitting skills, we managed to re-vinyl the ceiling.

Oh and this is with the new springs in and a wash next will be finding a clean 1uz, rebuilding it and installing. Also to build a tube tray.

She did a good job! Can your Grandma make me a new headliner too? LOL That's really the only thing that I need to do to my interior to have it "finished" right now. I still have my original to use as a template so I may end up making my own like you did at some point.

That is essentially what we did. Used the original torn up headliner, stencilled/measured it and reproduced it on another piece of vinyl that cost be about $15. Literally 1% of the price an interior trimmer would charge. And there are no aftermarket headliners available here either

Hi All!

I havnt been very active on here for the last year or so. So I thought to post to give you an update on my rn46☺

sooo Im installing a new motor. A 1996 1uzfe V8 with the automatic gearbox attached from the sc400 toyota. The transfer and 4wd box is from a toyota surf here in Australia, it is a chain driven case. Im currenty finishing off the wiring and soon to have it back in the road.

Im wiring it up muself with a help of a friend too, this seams to be the most time consuming.

Pulling the old Australian 18r out!
V8!
1uz nestled in the bay
Tidying up the wiring

Thanks! In that video there are only dumper mufflers at the moment. I will have a nice exhaust made up for it very soon. But for the moment Im enjoying the loud rumble of the V8 😁
