So I got off my butt and bled the clutch....solo I might add.

Drove her up and down the street. Shifts. Transfer case works.
Brakes work. She was bumpy..lol.

Loked underneath her a little better. Floors are not as bad as I had imagined. Rockers look good. Body mounts intact.

I think her value has jumped!

Im def leaning towards keeping her.

I would man....its a rare find. I presonally would turn it into a crawler. But with it being in such amazing shape. Id restore it as much as I can. Finding any of the Winnebago parts that are missing might be harder to come by...but anything Toyota should be simple. Id figure out what all it needs then sit down and do some research...see what you can find..what you cant. Work it into your budget. Then decide if you want to keep it and restore it. Thats just me though.

The beautiful thing is....everything IS here. Just got the tilt mechanism working...the Steering wheel was flopping around. Little lube....bingo.

She's idling at 2k. Need to work on that.

All gauges working. She has good oil pressure. Temp good.

Im so amazed with Toyota right now. My god 14 years and she runs.
Gonna change oil Friday. The coolant looked brand new. Ill flush anyways.

If its all there id keep it...restore it to factory. Then maybe mod it. I know a guy who took one of those king cab trucks and SASd it on 38s...tooked awesome. The paint even looks good enough to buff back to near new condition in parts.

Hell of a find...and with original warantee stuff and Winnebago stuff?!!? Amazing.

thats cool .. nice thing is you dont need it for a DD .. so if it takes you a few years , big deal , heck if it takes 10 years , whatever , as long as you dont loose interest .
Mine took 4 years , and I love it . starting to collect and build parts for my next Trekker

also .. lots of parts here for trekkers specific http://www.toyotafiberglass.com/trekker_13.html and we're building more

.

Thanks for the compliment..It has been frustrating a few times over the years..
reason to Part it out would be to use the parts for a new truck.

Sounds like your leaning on keeping her. That's good to hear. seems like you got a bit of work ahead of you. Mine took 5 years to do. and I had some of the same issue your dealing with. I see the canopy has clasped. the wood inside of it has been compromised.I fiberglassed metal slates into it. very time consuming. I think you should lean towards going towards factory original considering it seems everythings there.

Hello all,

I Poker around on the truck some more today. I got the carpet tore out.
Took alot of pictures for the record of restoration. Yup. I'm going to keep
her and take her down to the frame and restore her. She's too sweet not too.

I realizie I'd probably never come across one of these again.

Here are a BUNCH of pictures. I plan on taking her apart and having the cab
and frame blasted, rebuilding the back half.

Sorry for all the pics at once.

Front bumper bent. Grill missing. Does it look like a grill will mount up there?
