Hey I appreciate that. Halfway there and I'm not going to report on anything yet because I don't want to jinx anything haha.

 

Made it! Garage is a decent enough size to do work in, and the landlord even said we might be able to use the one it's attached to. I had almost no problems. The stuttering issue I was having only came up twice the whole trip and I barely leaked any oil. Sure was hot though!

 

If I can build my entire chassis in my ridiculously small garage then I think you'll be ok.

 

Still getting settled in kansas for now, waiting on school to start so funds will come in to start buying stuff. Quick question though, while perusing the local craigslist, I found a w50 transmission for $200. I'm pretty sure I have an l45 in mine currently, but I'd really like to have that extra gear. Is this unheard of? Any time I see someone talking about w50's, the discussion quickly gets shifted to l50's/52's. And I'm assuming there may be a little driveshaft modification or replacing necessary. I don't exactly need a new transmission, I'd just like to be below 2900 rpms at highway speed so the extra gear sounds nice to me. Anyways, just trying to poll the room I guess.
