If you don't mind me asking where did you get that Made in Japan Sticker? I cant find one like that at all and I really like it.
Nice truck, I have always liked that body style a little more than the rest.

Been busy but got a little bit of an update, got a free set of bald (like racing slick bald) 36" Super Swampers for free, decided to put them on just cause.
Also got a free aluminum toolbox from a buddy, scored it with some steel wool, primed it with self etching primer, and painted it with gloss black engine enamel, I'm in the process of bed lining the interior of the box aswell.

"New" box.

"New" tires

When the wind dies down I think I'm gonna touch up some of the paint and spray on some clearcoat to help protect her for the winter until I can get it painted this spring.

Well I've been looking into the transmission problem with my truck (no reverse) and since I've got a newer model transmission (mid 80's) I've been told by a friend and fellow first gen-er who's done the same thing That I'm gonna need to weld on brackets a few inches back for the transmission, and get a rear driveline from a shortbed..
I would just like someone to confirm or deny this, as hes told me false information before.
Thanks

From what I understand it depends on what transmission you have....that will determine how far back you may need to move the trans crossmember, and whether or not your transfercase will simply bolt to it, or you have to do some modifications for that as well.

Thanks, Southern. Another friend just did it with no modification to his 1st gen at all, so I'm really confused.. I don't know exactly what year the transmission is out of.. I guess I'll have to try it out and see. If it requires too much work, I know someone with a '79 4 Speed that I can buy from him.
