82YOTA14's 1980 Pickup build

Picked up a 1980 4x4 pickup a couple days ago, it is almost all original. I bought it from the original owner. It has a 20r and 4 speed transmission, the motor has been rebuilt and runs great. Here are some pictures of it the day I brought it home.

If you're looking for something to build, I'll trade you mine for your's - I already have the chassis and engine done for you too! Very nice score on that truck!

Holy crap! It's like you ordered a new one from the dealer. Can you spring some details on it?

That looks like something that would be on eBay for a starting price of $10k and the "Bring A Trailer" blog would profile because they always profile Toyotas. Yours is a beautiful find.

I bought it from the original owners son. The truck is pretty much bone stock. Has a 20r that was rebuilt at 200,xxx miles and runs great. The motor had a Weber carb put on it in 82. The body has 260,xxx on it and has a couple scratches and dings. The truck has a 4 speed transmission that was also rebuilt. The interior is all original the seat has one tear, which can be seen in the picture I posted, the original radio and speakers even work.

Not to be one to tell a man what to do with his truck, but PLEASE keep it as original as you can... There are plenty of beaters left to build..

Nice pics. It's hard to believe it has that many miles on it. In nj it would have been rusted away long ago. Good luck with it. I really love the toyotas, all years especially the 79-83 models.
