2010 Owner Needing Some Mods Where are they
#22

So that's what forced my hand here. I'm still thinking the slider/step combo is the way to go. Real protection with some added functionallity. There was another conversation in a seperate forum from a guy who said he could build and powder coat them black for around $500....which seems very fair to me.
I was baseing the design on 2" x 2" x 1/4" for the main support and 1-1/2" for the tube. Now I'm thinking more along 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/4" squre tube for the step. A little more rugged and keeping with the lines of the TE. I'm going to pull it in and take measurments once Her Highness goes out shopping. More drawings to follow.

Greg,
The AT's were on my 2005 Sport that I traded in and I still had the original tires from the 2005 in my garage so I asked to dealer to swap them over when I bought it. So now I have a brand new set of tires that came off the 2010 in my garage for spares.

Does anyone make a side step the comes out then up. I use it to protect vehicle dents in parking lots from passenger car doors swinging open. I wanted a side step bar to be about 3/4" below the bottom of the door. Highest point possible. The side steps available for the 5th gen T4R sit really low.

I ordered a stage 4 from Icon:

Don't have it installed yet...may be a while...so I know this is useless.
On a positive note, I did manage to get my new wheels and tires. I went with ATX Mojaves giving me 1/2" more width and 0 offset. The tires I only upgraded to one size larger and went with BFG ATs in 275/70/17. I won't need any bigger or more aggresive as my wheeling is limited. Here's a current pic of her:

Not sure what other major mod I'll be doing. At this point I am not interested in a front bumper, but I may fab up my own light bar or something. If a decent rear bumper comes out in a few years I may be interested in that as well, but I would love to leave the weight down.
