My Yota replacement
Replacement as in for DD duty. Well the Bucket Project has been put on hold for a bit until I can get my new to me car going again, I just bought a 1993 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon. It has some pretty high miles on it, some body damage and one of the transmission lines has a hole in it. So once I get this car going good enough for daily driving, the Bucket will be put into project hyperdrive as I will be able to tear into it without the worry of a ride to work.

The hole in the hard line right below the battery

And the reason that I got the car

Well I went to pick n pull today and got another transmission line, I was getting worried because I could only find the style that had an external filter right after the hardline so I thought that maybe the hardline would be different but it is the same. Now I just gotta get some fluid in it and make sure the transmission isn't toasted.

Wow, that would be great, man...wishing you the best on that 'hope and wish' stuff! Seriously... the 'waiting to find out' is the worst, isn't it? lol.
Bet you got a good deal, .... and it's a good car if you can get it squared away to at least DDrive. My buddy has one and camps in it, everything. He's actually in Alaska during the summer for work in it.... 300K and never been fully rebuilt, still runs ok.(He's a snowbird). I'd ask him but he's only to the net every couple weeks or so with his job(plus he hates computers! hahaha... yeah, one of THOSE guys).
Anyway, best wishes on that, following ya, James! (one of my FAV actors, btw! ....Videodrome and Best Seller FTW's! Ok, Salvador, COP, TOO MANY to count... like I said, just love the guys skills! lol )

Nice Subie, JW. I ran an old 97 Outback into the ground, driving it like I stole it everyday. They're great little cars, and can really take a beating.
Had to sell mine due to a check engine light (evap. purge) that would have been a pain in the culo to fix(no inspection sticker w/CEL). That won't be an issue with a 93, nice find!

Thanks guys, its actually my third early 90's Subaru and my second wagon but first turbo. I actually know my way around these cars pretty good, I was a Subaru tech for about 4 years hence the reason I got it for a daily driver since I know the drive train pretty good.
Oh and Chef I know the room these cars have for camping and such, I actually hauled home a side by side fridge in my old wagon for my kegerator.

Well, I replaced the hard line and put 6 1/2 quarts of ATF in last night and the car moves, but the idle is really bad and when I drove it up the road, the car would stall if I tried to accelerate, the CEL came on and I have a code for injector #1.
I also noticed some knocking from the drivers front axle and the brake pedal goes straight to the floor, guess it still needs some more work

Well, today I pulled the fuel injector and took it to Beaverton Napa and had them clean and flow test the injector, they didn't give me a flow chart or anything but it looks much better. I installed it and drove the car up and down the road and no stalling, I bench bleed the master cylinder last week thinking that it would help with the brakes, it helped a bit but I still have to bleed the rest of the system. So one step closer to the car being on the road.
