My Acura, the most reliable auto Ive ever owned by far..

This car has been great, almost 8 years and still feels like new or almost. I can count on one hand the total number of repairs that has ever been done to it, and still have fingers left to count on.
Fun to drive, fast, economic, handles like a sports car, but front wheel drive. RSX type S, 2002. face to face with my other honda.

My wife even drives an import, only she wanted a Hyundai SUV after her "American car learning experiences".

interesting post.... given this is a toyota forum. My wife and i did not have the same luck with her RSX. Headlight issues, o2 sensors, AC problems were all very expensive. She has gone to the TL but i still have not found it to be more reliable than my 4runner. Glad you have had a better experience.

How many miles are on a car since if it's only got 50k in 8 years and no repairs that's the norm for Hondas and is expected and if a Honda is well cared for then 100k should be no surprise with maybe 1 problem.

My truck has been on the road for 11 years and 154k and outside of normal maintenance I've had rear axle seals done at 100k (which is almost a normal maintenance item) and had a coil pack short out just a month ago and my truck is driven hard and goes off road.

Same deal......my mom bought a 2000 TL new, it's got 125k on it now and been to the dealer once for an air bag sensor.

Other than routine maint, it's been a gem. Feels well bolted together now also.

Over 84k now, the starter has gone bad recently, that was expensive. Ive heard about problems with the standard RSX with the starter, heck there were no rebuilt starters to get for my type S.

glad you like it.

The newer Acuras seem to be getting more trouble prone. Obviously you take care of it well and it shows.

nice looking ride. They hold their value around Denver quite well. Keep it forever.

02 DC5, any issues with the syncros? The 6 speed was notorious for that. Always wondered what it'd be like to have one, nice car!
