1992 tercel blow-by question
I bought a 1992 tercel from a buddy, its in really good shape but the guy I bought it from told me he thinks there's some piston blow-by. I've been checking it out and did a compression check and they were all the same. I question the accuracy of the tool I used because I got 2 different reading with 2 different fitting. The highest was about 140 but the gauge could be incorrect and I was more trying to see if they were all the same. They all rose evenly as well didn't look like too erratic.
I took the oil cap off and there is pretty strong pressure pulsing out of the hole. If I rev it it seems to go down/subside. If I put my hand on the hole while its idling it feels like it goes from blowing air out to drawing a vacuum indicating that the pcv valve is working.
To me all the signs point to not having a blow-by issue, especially with it pulling a vacuum with my hand on it.
What do y'all think. Help would be greatly appreciated.
