First sub freezing MTB ride

What a smoker, I consider myself in shape but this ride was harder than I thought. All my tries to roll with a group fail so Zak(our dog) and I rolled out. Took the train over two towns to ride a ridge. I'm rocking Kenda's knock off smoke/fire tires which have not let me down yet and they continued to be a good experience. Since I rock beartrap style pedals I wore thick merino wool socks with goretex booties, this was my weak spot. Toes kept freezing.
Zak had a frozen beard of dog slobber.

Sorry I didn't get pic's my phone battery died. I'll be doing this ride again. If my wife doesn't come up with an alternate plan I'll ride tomorrow. Good lord I miss my truck but MTBing is the most fun a human can have with their clothes on!!!!!
