wtb rear third member 4.10 8.4"

Hey guys, i need a rear 3rd member for my 97 tacoma, non elocker type. Has to be 4.10 ratio and in good working order. I would need it in WA state, or need to have it shipped there. If you have a elocker axle complete with the same ratio let me know what you want for that. I bought a front and now need a rear to match the new ratio. Thanks

are you saying that your is a 8.4" rear? I dont think they came with the cross braced Big 8 incher.

I have a 8" V-6 third with a True Track LSD--was in my 1997 4Runner. I was only able to 3k on it before i was hit and rolled. It was set up by Inchworm gear with solid pinion spacer. worked great

Email or call if interested 512-917-7097 or hross14@hotmail.com

I'm no pro but from what i understand the elocker rear is an 8" and the non is a 8.4" in tacomas, or that's how they call it on another tacoma forum. I really don't know if the 4runner 3rd would fit, i'd have to look into that.

No, it's my dd and currently has 3.58's in it which are crap. I know the earlier Tundra's and Tacoma 3rd's are interchangeable, not sure on the 4runner. I seem to think they are the 8" that is in the v6 toyota pickups, but i'm not 100%. Let me know what your buddies diff looks like. My truck is a 97 2.7.

The rear axles on all the earlier trucks up to third gen have interchangle 3rds. Even a 4 banger rear third can be put into a V-6 rear axle and vise a versa. I will do a little research and see what kind of axle you have.

The link below will tell you how to determine which third you have without having to take it out. My Friend is not at work today so i couldnt look at his truck--but basically, if the nuts on the third are 12MM--it is the V6/Turbo Diff (Same as mine). If the bolts are 14MM--then it is the large 8" trussed diff.

Hopes this helps

Still need a tacoma non elocker third in 4.10, or tundra third 4.10. Anyone? Rear third needed.
