Thule M.O.A.B. basket w/ extension in NW Washington
Thule #690 M.O.A.B. rooftop basket with #691 M.O.A.B. basket extension.
Built for the outdoor adventurer’s lifestyle. Pack your bags, bikes, boats and the kitchen sink, there’s room for everything.
Overall dimensions 62”(l)x39”(w)x6.5”(h) – remove the extension and it reduces the length 18” for fitting on that smaller car.
I’m missing a few parts, including the two accessory load bars, mounting brackets (to attach the basket to a crossbar) and front fairing…but this is still a great deal at this price when you figure MSRP is over $450.
Individual replacement parts available directly through Thule:
http://www.thuleracks.com/product_sp..._id=11&sku=690
One of the most solid, squared away baskets for that long trip ahead or for all the gear carried on that 4x4 excursion.
$155

Mount Vernon.
I updated the post with a pic. The metal could use a wipe down. A little WD40 and elbow greese to get a few paint scuffs out (which I'll be doing). Everything is straight. In the pic, the hardware is all just finger tight for picture purposes... so if it's doesn't look like the connectors are tightened down... they're not.
I could always meet you 1/2 way... say Marysville or Everett area? The only down side is I would have to leave it dis-assemble into pieces to fit it in the trunk.
Also... if it's going on a hard top FJ (or any other vehicle with gutter rails above the windows)... I have a set of 4 Thule "gutter foot" towers that would fit: http://skagit.craigslist.org/spo/686133968.html

bump for price drop.
Also, FYI: the basket cleaned up nice (no more drywall dust) and I have all new stainless hardware to go with...

OK... I provided a link for replacement parts directly through Thule in the first post. I've ordered through them on this very site... and the prices are as quoted. If you missed it, here it is again:
http://www.thuleracks.com/product_sp..._id=11&sku=690
I added up what it would take to get the mounting brackets for this rack (4x Underbar Brackets, 4x Mounting Brackets, 8x Carrige Bolts and 8x Wing Knobs) and the total was $55. Shipping directly through Thule is less than $10. So a grand total of replacement parts is $65. Parts can be had even cheaper here: http://www.rackattack.com/
So $65 + $155 = $220.
$220 is still less than half of the retail price for this basket.
No offense... but my "best" price is $155. It'll hit Craigslist this afternoon.
