I got my adj temp controller at Advance Autoparts for $19.99 its Imperial brand but in the directions its says Hayden

Are we talking Ford Tarus fans here??? I was thinking of installing an electric fan,and it just so happens i'm planning to take it from a ford Taurus. My dad has a couple junkers, and the Taurus fans were my choices. Is this already a common mod???

 

Does anybody have the link to the/a write up on this mod? It would be good to have in this thread.

Lots of threads on the Taurus fan mod...on many boards...for many models. Bamachem has a some good info on a sweet controller that adjust speeds, not just on/off.

I haven't gotten any email, but I'd like a Taurus fan.

Brian I will email you again. I have emailed you a few times the last cpl months & never got a reply but I think when I did I went though Y-T & just clicked your name & emailed you from here. I find emails via Y-T in my junk mail from time to time.
SlightlyModified the fan everyone uses is the dual speed one from a 3.8 Taurus the 3.0 fan is a single speed & I guess does not move as much air. I ahve yet to hook up the high speed on my 4runner cause its has worked great on low.

 

I won't be using the high/low speeds but getting a variable speed controller like bamachem has. But the 3.8 Taurus fan is the one you want...also comes in several other vehicles. I think bamachem's came out of a Volvo.
