Whats the difference between the green trekmasters and the black OEM ones offered in the current kit?

EDIT: and what about the 4 rear shock discs? Are they not needed in the 7.0 vs 7.1?

285's or 305's for tires

The rear shock discs are not needed with the 7.0 as for the diference between the greens and the blacks I couldn't tell you honestly. Maybe do a search on here. I think I remember that Sonoran was having trouble getting them so he went with the black but again I am not positive for the reason on the change.

You need to cut your price and cut your losses. You made an error and bought something that you now don't need. That it is new, or is what it is, doesn't matter. It's not about you being a rip-off. The buyer won't have all the assurances of the vendor. (although I wouldn't be surprised if Steve took care of the buyer just because he's a nice guy) New from the vendor is $1100-1150. A $300 discount just isn't enough. Sell for 1/2 the new price and it will go. This is just outside, unsolicited advice. I have no interest in/ use for this product. I have made similar mistakes (wrong size, changed mind, new plans) You take your lumps and move on. Good luck.

I dunno, I think its a fair price. Never even installed. And knowing Steve I'm sure he'd do what he could if there were a technical problem down the road, which I doubt would be an issue. Who can blame someone for buying this kit to save a few bucks - it isn't even being used!

I've sent WAY more money to people I never met to purchase things over the net. I also did my homework. There are never any guarantees, but you feel the person out and go from there.

If it were me I'd call the guy up and talk to him for a bit. Ask if he's done any internet deals, get the references and check up on them if you're really that concerned. Personally, I don't see anything in this thread (or anywhere else on YT that I've noticed) that would raise any red flags with this seller.

I hope my post wasn't construed as knocking the seller's integrity. That is not what I meant. I have no doubt that the seller will promptly send an unused, complete, SS#7 lift kit to the purchaser. It's just my opinion that a price reduction will get it out of his garage. It is not new it is unused. I agree that Steve would probably honor the kit as I mentioned. But you and I are lucky to know him personally. He would be under no obligation to do so. Fortunately, this community is small enough that the smaller vendors like Steve, Wabbit, Marlin, and others go the extra mile. Try getting something out of Rancho, Bilstein, or Detroit on a second hand part. Again, It's just my opinion that a $300 discount isn't enough.

No I didn't take it that way, nor would I think anyone would think you were knocking his integrity. There are a few other posts in this thread questioning sending money to an unknown, which is what I was addressing.

I was interested when you last posted this. For the right price, I'm still interested. Also interested in the LC wheels you mentioned above.

I'm in MD, would you be willing to meet in Northern Jersey?

I'd rather make the drive, especially if the wheels are part of the deal, and see the stuff in person. I will do this on your schedule minus a few family and work related days that I can't miss. PM me or email me and I'll reply with my phone number.

BTW I think a 300 dollar discount puts the kit down to the price of 4 coils and 4 shocks. a good deal in this case. I'm surprised it hasn't gone yet. oh well I'm jealous i didn't see it earlier

This thread hasn't seen much activity since I posted my interest so in all fairness I feel a need to post that I'm passing on this. Just dropped too much money into my Jeep. The jeep goes offroad, not the 4Runner so the lift would have been for looks only.

I also feel a need to say that the seller seems like a good guy in the limited communication that we've had. If I had decided to spend this much on a cosmetic lift I would have sent the money via paypal, and I think $850 is fair for quality/functional lift, I just don't want to spend this much for the cosmetic goal I have in mind.
