soft top for 4runner sort of

Just ordered a new Can-back today and can now sell our old Kayline top. The frame is fine nothing wrong with it. The parts that hold the snaps to the body are OK, one has a bend to it but works fine.

The top is the problem, the upper sections has two holes in it about the size of a quarter. The side windows are OK but scratched. You can see through them but they are old.

The rear window was ripped of completely, I still have the window itself but all the material around it is gone. I have the zippers for the rear window but not sure if they still work.

You can still use the top with the side windows down, the rear of the top is not attached anymore to the rear bow, used to snap onto the bar.

Basically I am selling the frame and the soft top part of it is thrown in. This would be a great start for somebody that wants to build their own top or use the existing soft top part and repair/use it.

I will post some pictures ASAP but since it is raining so hard I am thinking of building an Ark, it will have to wait till tomorrow.

I am asking $200.99 for all the parts and top. Shipping on users dime. If nobody wants it I will list it on all the other forums.

You can contact me at 303-829-0703 or thomas.f.rompies@lmco.com or buffethat@comcast.net

Thanks Tom__________________

Interested. Can you give me some more info in how the top mounts to the truck? Also pics would be cool.

The rear window has been ripped off so it is not in perfect condition.

Alright, just let me know when you get the quote. Also, do you have pics of the torn section?

Guys,

I priced shipping to different areas of the country adn it does not look good. Cheapest I got to New Mexico was $145 by truck. Floriday was running $250, pretty crazy.

I may just pull it till next years Cruise Moab and then see if somebody going there wants it. For the price of shipping etc. you can nearly get a new one.

Unless I get a local seller it is not worth it. Sorry for the delay.

put it on a greyhound bus and you can ship it for like $50 anywhere in the US. I did this with a CanBack about a year ago. I had to use large picture frame boxes tapes together from UPS, those ran like $40. So total shipping was like $100

Did you look into Parcel Post? Parcel post from Pennsylvania to Kentucky was only $30 for a kayline when I got mine on ebay. That included signature confirmation, etc. Might be an option, and sure is a long way from $250! Just my .02 cents.
