If you email him, ask for the VIN number. Run a check on it. I don't know if this is a scam, but I don't like it if there is no phone number, or at least an email address...

BEFORE the oil crisis i couldnt even get a 2WD 4runner SR5 talked below 8k with 87k miles even IF we bought a new king ranch F150 at the same dealer.. decent toyota trucks are not that easy to find in the D/FW area ..

Right- In a vehicle ad, I like to see a contact name and phone number, or at least a non-anonymous email. I really wouldnt trust that one too much. There are some ads down here just like that one with the 4 pics at the bottom, and no contact info. They have Z3s for $4000, yeah right.

When they ask you to wire the money for the truck to Nigeria, say no!

There are a bunch of those types of ads here in Denver as well. I say SCAM! You write the anon addy and no one responds. Its not just Toyotas, there are a bunch of makes and models that are priced far below retail. Even with a salvage title, the cars would be worth more than they are asking. But if you use a free email account that you don't mind being spammed, go for it. Doesn't hurt to ask right?

I checked on another clean rig, here in Texas from craigs list "clean texas title" the reply email said the truck was in sweden (sob story, couldn't sell it before he left the states, took it with him yada yada yada) and when funds cleared it would be shipped at no extra cost!

mmmmmmkay drugs are bad

those should be $13,800 and $13,000 instead of $3800 and $3000.

alof of them are scams, prolly 1/3 of the ones listed on the Dallas craigslist. I got all excoted when seeing a 92 Landcruiser for 3500 and it looked great, untill the guys sends one of the form letters saying the car is oout of the country and doesnt want to pay for registration and all that...

because people actually pay the scamers, and loose their $4000. It's easy...if it's too good to be true, and they don't give you an email/phone number...its fake. We had the 4Runner listing for $3800 in Denver, and it got removed....just my opinion.

haha check this out... so all i said in my email was that I was interested and wondering if he had a phone number I could reach him at, an dthis is his generic SCAM message he sent back me...

Hi there,
Thank you for contacting me regarding my item.
First of all i want to tell you that the car is in perfect condition, and
the price includes all the shipping costs and insurance so you will not
have to pay any extra charges. The car has a Clean Title wich will come
along with it.I am a US citizen. I moved to Sweden because i was sent here with
work. The car is in a perfect condition. It's a great car, I am devastated that I
have to sell it but I have to pay too much money to register it here,so I
decide to sell it.
The car it is still registered in States.
Tell me if there is anything else you would like to know about the car.

May be the same guy in Sweden, or wherever he is... these people really piss me off
