Well the time has come, guys. I've been on this board for what seems like forever, but I just can't justify keeping the truck anymore now that I've moved to Manhattan. It brings a tear to my eye, but so be it. Here are the deets:

Not to hi-jack, but I have to ask how you like the JL Audio XR speakers, I was looking into buying the same XR series for my truck and hooking up a decent amp to run them, it looks like your using deck power but I wanted a good opinion on them. Personally I was going to choose between a set of bostons/focal/JL and I am leaning towards the JL, again sorry for the hi-jack.

The JL's have been great. Very nice set of speakers for our trucks - it made a huge impovement over stock. I don't know much about the BA's or the Focals, so can't give you any guidance there - sorry.

First of all, nice rig. Similar to mine I think only in 2WD (right?) and lowered. Anyway, you have to consider a few things here. Most people don't have that kind of cash around (or they do, but don't want to spend it on a modified 4Runner). So, that means most people out there will have to get a loan. Now, if they can get a loan on this old of a vehicle (some banks won't even do it), then the bank is only going to loan them what it is worth - not taking most of your mods into consideration.

I have purchased and sold 6 4Runners/Tacos and not once have I been able to sell one here on YT. And they were all 4WD (desired here over 2WD).

Anyway, you asked for comments, so what I think you should do is strip off every mod you possibly can (skip the pesky headers!) and sell them separately. Put it back to stock, and list it on Cars.com. That will net you the most $$ out of just about any scenario you can think of. Sure, it requires a little effort, but it will be worth it in the end.

Christian - the truck is 4WD - thanx for pointing out that oversite in the listing. Understood about converting back to stock, but sometime life just doesn't allow you such luxuries as time and opportunity to do such things. As far as people not being able to pay for a truck like this out of pocket, I can sympathize with this, but a potential buyer's monetary shortcomings are not really my concern. The asking price is 10K obo - so a buyer should make me an offer for what they think the truck is worth or what they can realistically pay and I will entertain their bid.
I know this is a specialized vehicle which will cater to an enthusiast type and it will not be for everybody, hence my listing it on this forum where I know there are members who can appreciate the mods made to the truck - but obviously I am not relying solely on yotatech to sell my vehicle.

Unfortunatly this forum caters more to the off road types and there aren't too many street-only types on here. A lowered Runner with 18" wheels might have better luck over on T4R.org.

It is still a nice truck tho' and I love the look of the PP front spoiler w/lights.

Thanx for the heads up, I'll give that site a shot.
The truck's only lowered an inch (if that), so not slammed and still plenty of ground clearance. Plus you get the original rims and tires to switch up into if you want to take it down a trail for some light off-roading. Definitely not a rock-crawler in its current state, though......
