Ford C6 2WD auto tranny Chattanooga
Hey guys,
I found a Ford big block and C6 tranny out in the woods today, so I pulled it and drug it back up with my 4Runner
Looks like late 70's early 80's.
Tranny looks to be in real good shape, and a friend of mine (certified Ford mech.) said it should be fine, except that it might need a valve pack perhaps.
Located in Chattanooga, TN. If any of ya'll need it I'll sell it cheap.
Also, does anyone know about how much one of these is worth?

You "found" it out in the woods? What da ya think it fell out of a cargo plane?
People generally arn't in the habit of taking "good" engines and dumping them out in the woods...

The engine was not in good shape, that's why I only took the tranny... not like the 4Runner could have hauled a big block back anyhow. It looks like they bashed the oil pan on a rock or something and probably made the engine seize. But the tranny seems to be real good. There was still healthy fluid in it and the insides are not seized.
The location in the woods was only like a mile at most from a number of houses, I imagine one of them hauled it out there after they bashed the engine.
