Feeler:CA: 2000 4runner Sport v6-$10,000
I have a silver 2000 SR5 4runner for sale. It is 2wd and has the 3.4L V6. It has just over 83,000 miles and all maintenance is up to date. New brake pads will be installed in the next week or so. I just recently got the transmission flushed and filled with all new fluids. It also has a new battery, I replaced it about 400 miles ago. It runs wonderful and the car is babied. No accidents and Clean Title. It has seen dirt maybe twice and has never been actually "off-roaded." It has 265/75-16 BFG all-terrains with around 70-75% remaining. Flowmaster 40 series exhaust with chrome tip in stock location. Trueflow drop-in air filter with less than 2,000 miles on it. Sony X-plod head unit with Atomic Manhatten Co-ax speakers all around. Sounds great. Also, Limo tint placed over the rear 35% privacy glass and 20% on the front two windows. Can get pictures of whatever you need, just let me know. Any questions? Just email me at ty151@adelphia.net or contact me on here.
I was looking to get $10,000. Im located in Southern California. Shoot me your offers, thanks. -Tyler

I see that peopl ehave checked it out, but no replies yet.
How is the price? I think it is pretty fair considering the lower mileage. Just let me know. Thanks

I don't think the price is too high, I think that people aren't interested mainly due to the fact that it's 2WD plus there's the rising gas cost.
Good luck with the sale ... BUMP for ya

And gas isnt really that bad in it...i get around 18-19 city and obviously a little higher on the highway

I would lower the price. You can't even throw a rock out here with out hitting a 3rd gen 4runner. I seen loaded 4wd for much lower fyi.

Sadly, YT is a terrible place to sell a vehicle. Everyone on here thinks they are worth next to nothing, and will lowball the hell out of you.
Myself, i would check local CL posts and see what they are averaging. You wont likely sell it if its posted above the average price, especially given the economy and the rig that it is.
The miles are a big turn-on, but the 4x2 is a big turn off. You could always convert it to 4x4 then sell it! lol.
Good luck man.

And some people who try to sell on here don't pay attention to market value and try to price trucks double their value.
Sorry DC but you still seem a little butthurt you didn't sell you truck for $14k when that price might have flown 4 years ago when I paid that for mine with 50k less miles and extras. You're a great guy but you not selling your vehicle seems to be making more sour grapes than anything else and if we were lowballling on here particularly then why haven't you sold it elsewhere?
The thing about this forum is people compare what other rigs sell here for and know what the real market value is and why shouldn't we help another find the best deal out there?
Sorry for being off topic but I compare what the majority of like vehicles are going for on this forum and other places like autotrader and then reflect them here. I'm not in anyway a lowballer, just realistic.

I completely understand, but i just dont think mine is priced above what the average 4runner is going for right now. Obviously you will see the dealers listing prices set at 12k and 13k and stuff, but thats too much. I see on average about 9-10k for one in the same condition as mine. And i have mine set at 10,000 obo, im willing to negotiate..

No,I think your's is priced right as a starting point and may sell with some patience but as I stated I'm a realist and not a lowballer since why would I have an interest in lowballing when I'm not interested in buying.
There is a quite modded 4th gen 4wd selling here with a bit over 100k on the odo selling for under $13k and that was his starting price so if somebody posts a 3rd gen on here with more miles, less mods and priced higher then why wouldn't I recommend dropping the price to help a sale when the market isn't supporting the price.
I also go with what I paid for mine almost 5 years ago. ($13.5 w/95k on it)
I now have almost 140k on mine and I know mine wouldn't sell for over $9k and that might even be wishful thinking and I have the sport model with low mileage suspension, nice full stereo system, rack and all major maintenance items just recently taken care of and I take overall very good care of it.
If I wanted to try to sell for more it to less informed target market it wouldn't be on here and I know that.

If you lowered the price to $7000, then you might get a few hits. But this economy is a terrible place to sell an SUV in. If it was a honda Civic, you'd be getting several hundred dollars over Market Value(with rising gas costs, and other factors, KBB is not accurite).

Not butthurt at all. Its just common fact that people on forums will always try to lowball to get the best price. in my particular case, I lowered my price once I was informed my price was too high, and yet people still wanted to go lower.
Mine is a unique case because of where the truck came from, ill give you that. But comparing vehicles from all over the US is plain silly. You cannot compare a vehicle from CA to a vehicle from a rust belt state, and say they should be worth the same amount. Vehicles on the west coast almost always go for more than in other states, for simple reasons like lack of using salt on the road which leads to RUST. It would be like telling people here in WA that their 10k trucks should only be worth 6k because I can go to GA and get it for that much.
The main reason I haven't sold mine yet is the cost of fuel. There was a news article a while back that pointed out SUV sales have dropped off a major percent, mostly due to the cost of fuel. Save for a few enthusiests, most people do not want a 4x4 vehicle that gets 16-20 MPG.
While I appreciate what you are trying to say X, i feel insulted by your comment. My comment was a little harsh, but not that far off.
Anyways, we are way off topic here. TY, i would not be so discouraged and I apologize for my backhanded comment. You may wish to do as i suggested and check your local CL for the average price of these trucks, and adjust accordingly.
