Question Anyone interested in a 1st gen frame?

I'm just testing the waters to decide what to do. I'm still parting out an 88 4R. When that's done, I plan to cut up the what's left of the body and sell it for scrap steel. But I would really like to see the frame go to someone doing a restoration of their rig or perhaps use it for a buggy build.

I know that frame rust outs are a common problem for the 4Rs -- especially up north with the salt. So I would like to know if anyone would want a frame and be willing to come get it. It's in the San Antonio, Texas area.

I think the wheel wells are actually in decent shape. The quarter panel around the wheel well is damaged.

I'm not sure how I would ship them though.

if you have a pic of both sides of the truck I can high light the area to cut out I don't need much but it would be easier to weld in that then try to make it from scratch

Don't be fooled by the shiny paint. The PO got a MAACO special and painted over some damage. I don't think the panels are rusted. But there are holes visible on the backside left from a slide hammer with bondo squirting thru.

I would like both sides complete but I get the feeling that shipping will kill me.

if you don't want to mess with cutting out the body panels I will take no offense to you not wanting to do it if you where closer I would buy the whole body.

I don't have the shears needed to cut that out neatly. And I think the shipping on something that large would be a killer. If you're taking a piece that large, you might be better off just doing the entire quarter panel.

The body is actually in good shape except for some bondo. I was looking around in the nooks and crannies and there is very little rust in the body except around the windshield.
