This 4Runner is too cool

Check it out! This is one of the nicest 1st gens I've ever seen! It's not mine, I just wanted to share. I wish I had the money! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-...QQcmdZViewItem

How can you tell that it was a restoration job? I'm really interested in the thought of getting a 1st gen and this would be tops but it looks like it will go for some pretty decent dollars.

just look at it, those seats dont look factory, not a single spot of fading on any, of the plastic, in the cargo area, not one scratch, no spots in the carpet, heck the stering wheel looks new, has to be repainted, not one scratch or fading there, drivers side floor carpet, doesnt even look worn, I could be wrong, that thing has zero dents, dings, scratches, or fading. he could have bought it in 1986 then drove it straight to a storage unit, I know for a fact, that motorcycle dealers do that, well sometimes they wont even uncreat a bike, store it for about 20 years, then put it together, and sell it, they get alot more cash that way.
but IMO is a full restoration job, and a very good one

I believe that 4runner is in original condition. As far as the seat covers go, they were unique to the '86 turbo's. I doubt they are still available from Toyota. Heck, I have an '88 SR5 standard cab 4x4 in my garage with just a hair over 25000 miles. The truck is in near perfect condition (garage kept since new)since it has never seen salt and no rain since '89. Yes, I'm the original owner and have all paperwork. I also know where there is an '86 customized reg. cab w/less than 10000 miles hiding. So yes, I believe there are still well preserved original 1st gen 4runners and 2nd gen trucks out there just waiting to be found!!

Well..it just may be a resto. Sure you can have an old truck in that condition with under 20,000mi, but this thing has 166K. It's over $6K right now. I'm sure it will go over $10K by the end. I'm guessing $11,800. Anyone have any guesses?

That's original interior, the seats have turbo on the top. An 83 year old geezer owned that thing.

Wow, it sure went for alot of a moola. Granted, it is in beautiful condition, but i bet there is nothing left of that turbo. With a truck like that, i would be scared to take it anywhere close to dirt. And that just isnt living. Congrads to the winner if he/she is on the board!!!
