1KZ-TE JDM 3.0L Turbo Diesel engines.

SOLD!!

Hi,

I have (2) 1KZ-TE Diesel engines for sale. They are 3.0L Turbodiesels. Both came out of the japanese version of the 4-runner, the Hilux Surf.

The first one is a '94 model with the front transfercase output on the Right side (US passenger side) It comes with: Auto Tranny, T-case, ECU and wiring harness, Air filter and one of the drive shafts. It has only 108,000 miles. Asking $3300 obo.

The second one is a '96 model with the front transfer case output on the Left side (US Drivers side) It comes with: Auto Tranny, T-case, ECU and wiring harness, air filter and both drive shafts. It will need the body harness connector for the ECU. (easily found in a pick n pull) This one has Only 55,000 miles. Asking $3300 for this one as well.

Please e-mail me at : Blackturbomr2@charter.net with any questions. I can provide pictures of whatever you want to see.

Thanks,

Todd

Are the 5 speeds hard to get?

and is this engine easy to convert to a mech pump, like the VW's using a cummins 4BT pump?

I dont want all the electronic gunk.

Sorry these are already sold. I could have sworn i had edited my first post. I guess i didn't hit "submit". EDIT: ok now its edited! sorry!

To answer your question, yes you can convert to a mechanical pump if you can find one. I don't know of anyone using a 4bt pump but anything is possible with a machine shop at your disposal.

5 speeds are extremely difficult to get.

The 4 cyl Cummins pimp is frequently used on the VolksWagen tdi's to replace the electronic VW pump..
Have to machine the vw pully a little on a lathe to make it fit.

Good price onthe motors.

Can't remember the hp ratings (around 120 I think), but they have nearly 300lb of torque! These are the when it comes to toy diesels, haven't heard of anybody who's been disappointed after swapping one in. They're also far more dependable than their predacessor the L series diesels.
