Hey all! Well, i'm sorta testing waters to see if anyone is interested in my baby... its a great truck, but i need something a bit more 4-door-ish and lower to the ground

1990 Toyota 4Runner SR5
Chassis/Body has 173k on it, but the motor was rebuilt last year, at around 145k miles.
V6
4x4
5-speed tranny
Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control
Swing-out Spare Tire Rack
Brand new clutch when motor was rebuilt
Kumho mud tires (31's)
Brand new front brakes, brand new (not rebuilt) calipers were used.
Brand New Shocks about 10k miles ago
New Idler Arm and Balljoint for steering
Brand New Fuel Pump, Sending Unit, and Main Relay just replaced
The truck is very mechanically sound



Asking $4000obo - NOW $3500!!!

This is a great running truck, and i really hate to get rid of it, but once i get my car, i'll have no real use for it anymore.

And now for.... the bad (aka Lets be honest lol!) :

-Has one rust spot under the passenger side mid-window. It has been there since i bought the truck, and my body guy feels it is a very simple repair. If the truck doesn't sell, i'm going to fix it, and repaint the whole thing white again.

-The paint is decent, but has flaws near the passenger front fender and hood.

-The right rear passenger seat: The knob that you pull to release the seat and push it forward has cracked... the mechanism still finctions normally, but you need a new knob to thread on there.

-Carpet could use a cleaning.... i'll do that before i sell it though.

-Center console armrest: the big lid lock has snapped... still works fine, just doesn't lock down. I never even noticed it until the other day... does not hurt the function of it at all.

-Has the tape/cd player combo from the factory, but i haven't been able to get the CD player to work... could be a simple fix, i don't know, but since i don't own any CDs, its never really bothered me at all.

-Tires are noisy




There is no rust anywhere else on the truck... i put this thing in the air on my lift every month or so to inspect it, and change oil and stuff, and it looks very good under there. I'll be happy to put it up on my lift for anyone who buys it as well so they can see under it all easily.

Mudiver: I'm only interested in a trade if it is a later model BMW for my truck (plus cash of course )... or another similarly-nice car. Prefer 4-doors, but if the right car came along that was 2 door, i'd still look at it.

I didn't have time to clean it up, other than empty trash out of it after a recent road trip... it does clean up nicely though inside... the outside cleans up nice, but it could use some lovin with a high-speed buffer, and some wax. heh.

Yes, the carpets need to be cleaned.. lol. Accidental spilling of a soda in the cup holder (if you have one of these trucks, i'm sure you've found how "springy" that thing is with a full can of soda.. haha!)








The only point of sorrow for this vehicle in my eyes... a small rust spot thats been there since i've owned it. Hasn't spread any though, which is good news.

Ok guys, another really good deal came my way on a car, and i jumped on it, so the 4Runner is officially for sale... this time it has GOT to go. I need to help pay off what i just bought

I also have a BRAND NEW starter that i bought when the starter started clicking, and i found out that i just needed to clean the battery terminals... lol. But i still have the starter, and will include it with the truck.

 

Still for sale... i have my baby in my hands now, and the truck is taking up space in my shop... i need it gone this week if possible! Any takers?
