1990 4Runner 3.0

Guys, I have to sell it. This is my posting to craigslist. Located here in SW Baltimore County.

I am selling a 1990 4Runner with 178K miles. I bought the truck 2 years ago and daily drove it since then up until about 2 weeks ago.

Has: 3.0V6, Auto, AC, Power Windows, Swing-away spare tire, 31" Dayton Timberline AT's with plenty of tread left, Wet Okole seat covers in front. Wired for amps upgraded front speakers (wiring), CB radio antenna to rear, has Hella Air horns with compressor wired inline of factory horn harness.

Truck has been well-cared for since I purchased it. I've replaced or upgraded the following:

New catalytic converter (crackhead cut it off, winter 06 prior to my purchase)
New battery (June 07)
Starter contacts replaced with OEM Toyota kit (November 06)
New Power Steering Pump and low pressure PS lines (Jan 08)
Manual locking Aisin hubs with new OEM wheel bearings (inner and outer) (nov. 06)
K&N drop-in filter (April 06)
Fan idler mount and thermostat, all accessory belts, and inspection of timing belt *not in need of replacement, likely has another 40K miles before required*, November 07
Removed all surface rust from rear fenders (L&R). Temporarily filled and patched, primed, and ready for permanent metal replacement or (as I had intended), Line-X'ed fenders and rocker panels. Primed in black.

Oil has been changed every 4K miles with Castrol since I've owned it, and immediately after I bought it, I had the diffs, transfer case, and trans flushed at Russell Toyota in Catonsville. (April 06)

The headgasket recall as well as steering arm recall were performed (HG before I owned it, steering arm at Russell at the same time the trans, etc was flushed)

However--

It has sprung an antifreeze leak, most likely from a freeze plug. My mechanic pressure tested it, and thinks the same. It isn't leaking anything else, for what its worth. I don't have the money to spend dropping the transmission to get to the leak and fix it, so my loss is your gain. From what I can tell, a weekend with a lift and its done. Freeze plug should be no more than $20 for parts.

After that, the only other issue is the exhaust itself. The original has rusted at the muffler where the pipe from the cat meets it. The tailpipe hanger needs to be replaced, as well. Estimate about $200 in parts from Autozone or Advance. Or, get one from Crazy Ray's in Jessup. A month ago, they had 3 4Runner V6's there, 2 with full exhausts.

The truck runs and starts, though since it sprung the leak I have not run it for fear of possibly overheating the motor. You would have to tow it or have it towed for you. I may be able to assist.

I can email pictures, but will be out of town Friday-Monday Feb 22-24.
I bought the Porkchop Express with 151K miles, and put all the rest on there in the past 2 years. I love the truck but can't afford to fix it. At some point in the next 6mos I'll be reinvesting into another 4Runner, most likely a 3rd gen as money permits.

I have some spare parts, including Marlin rock rails I purchased from another Yotatech member and never mounted, and a 1st gen 4Runner roll bar for sale sep from the truck, as well as an assortment of switches and stuff I'd scrounged at junk yards i'll throw in.

Please, someone come buy this thing. Its killing me to look at it every day in front of my house!

FWIW, email me directly: deejoker @gmail dot com (no spaces).

Thanks!

TF

Guys- if you email me, please refer to this thread. I'm getting a ton and a half of spam.

A pic, if you will, from the rust-fixing thread:
