1988 4Runner SR5

Okay, I've decided to sell my 1988 4Runner. It is and SR5 with 205,000 miles. Has the 3.0 motor with automatic transmission. Metallic Charcoal grey with the grey interior.

I'm selling because no mechanic can diagnose the noise I hear in the motor. they've all told me not to worry about it, blamed clearance in oil pump. I have a mechanic's report outlining that. It should be noted that this noise has been present since I've owned the vehicle and has not changed in over 5000 miles.

I am the second owner of this vehicle. It originally came from California and Nevada so there is virtually no rust. I bought the vehicle from the original owner after he had moved to Minnesota. At that time there were two small surface rust spots on the front fenders (surface bubbling), and 2-3 tiny bubbles on the tailgate. I sanded all of those down and treated them with rust bullet. Then I primed and covered with original color touch up spray. Not the best, but you can't tell without looking close up.

Everything functions on the vehicle with the exception of the back up lights.

I have cold AC, functional power antenna (that most of you won't want, lol), sunroof with the much coveted shade, cruise control, power windows, power locks, back window works perfect.

The interior is immaculate. No tears in the SR5 seats. One small crack in the usual spot on the dash. The interior is as good as you will see in a vehicle of this age.

Exterior is pretty good because their isn't any rust. However the sun has taken its toll in spots and there are some assorted small dents and scrapes, but this is still one of the sharpest 1st Gens I have seen on the board.

Tires are Bridgestone Duelers with about 40 percent tread left. There is no sag in the rear on this ride.

I have nearly every receipt of everything done to this vehicle since it was purchased new. I have the original window sticker and everything.

I also have a Kenwood CD player with remote installed, but have the stock radio as well.

I have also installed rear shoulder belts if you want them.

Weather permitting I am going to clean her up this weekend for pictures and put it up for sale on ebay and locally. I will have a buy it now price of $3500 and the same locally.

I am located 2.5 hours north of St. Louis and 3.5 hours southwest of Chicago. I can deliver the vehicle to a major airport in the region for cost of fuel if need be.

Pics as follows: NOTE THIS DOES NOT COME WITH THE SOFT TOPS. I SOLD THEM A YEAR AGO, THESE ARE JUST THE ONLY PICS I HAVE TO SHOW YOU THE CONDITION.
