Wide Stance

Wide Stance
I'm in the market for some new tires and wheels. I have seen the LX450's with a variety of tires and like those because of the wide stance ... but I'd like to see my options.
Does anyone have pictures (or suggestions) of some good tire and wheel combos that achieve that wider look?

depends on what tire size you want. you can get 15x8s with 3" BS or 2.5" and 12.5" wide tires, or you can go wider tires/wheels.
heres mine with 33x12.5r15 tires on 15x8 with 3.25" BS.

prolly the most common is 15x10 rims on 33x12.50 tires. thats when you begin to get the wide stance. backspacing is also important. the less backspacing the farther the tires stick out. im running 33x13.50 on 15x10 rims with 3.65" of backspacing and they are plenty wide. i have pics on pg. 136 of the post your pics thread of the 86-95 truck section. my truck is the green 92 ex cab. it will give a good look at the stance man. hoped that helped

not the best pic....but....the wheels are the difference here.
stock 1992 p/u......no lift, no nothing.
the 31 / 10.5 / 15's are mounted on American Racing Type 8's......not sure if they are made anymore, but in comparing these same size tires on SR5 rims, these wheels force the tires well outside of the body rather than tucked under as the SR5 rims do.
beware though.......if your state restricts the amount your tires can extend from your body you may have to buy, or make (as i did) some fender flares to provide coverage.
