What did you pay for 4 tires.

Ok give us a price on what you paid for 4 tires. I am assuming a shop mounted them. So a price to buy, mount, tax etc. I just bought 4, 33 10.5 15 bfg at's. I'll chime in later on if I got the shaft. I don't think I did, the guy in shop was cool and he allowed my dog in, so thats worth a few bucks there.
Thanks.

Your area and what the market is asking for in that area can affect tire price a lot. If they have had them on the shelf for a while and you were the first guy in a year to ask for those tires they will cut you a massive price break(at least i would on non moving product/sizes).
Where if you are in an area that has a lot of dealers and you are buying a common size that will sometimes drive up price. especially on specialty tires and sizes. 33x10.50r15 are not a common seller but they are a specialty tire which makes their price be higher in areas of common sales. So what you pay for tires in CA will differ greatly from what someone would/will pay in a different state.

I just paid 653$ for 5 285/75/16's delivered to my door. I'll be buying wheels next week for 544$ (that includes mounting, balancing, a set of lug nuts and center caps for the tires I just bought). So 1200$ish for five wheels and tires mounted and balanced.

Red face

You can only compare tire prices if you are comparing a tire of the same size or close and rated for the same use.

Any how all I use is the Merit All Country M/S in 235/75/15 LT

Out the Door price a few months 5/10 back was $448.37 for 4

Now the BFG tires are more expensive you are paying for the name

$530 for four 31x10.5x15 Firestone Destination T/A's mounted and balanced from an independent local garage. The tires have good reviews and are quiet. I didn't need mud tires.

I recommend treaddepot.com if you have someone to mount and balance for you. 32x11.50 15 Cooper STT for $685 shipped no tax. $203 Shipped no tax on 4 cragar soft 8 wheels 15x8 from Summit. $40 mounted and balanced at the dealership I work for plus tax.

Remington mud brute, 33-12.50-15. They are around $800 a set on ebay if you can find them right now, but in 2005 I paid $441 for 4, mounted and balanced. Still got half tread, but starting to show some cracks.

$324 for a set of 4 Kumho Road Venture KL-78 AT's (factory size P225/75/r15) delivered from TireRack. $76 mounted and balanced with new valve stems. So far I like them a lot, and the price was really good for a set of new tires.
