Wal*Mart mud tires
Hey I need some new tires for my 85 i just picked up and it has some 40% tread mud kings on it and i want to put another set of cheap mud terrains but that will still perform well. The reason im going with Wal*Mart mud tires is me and my buddy have identical trucks almost and we are trying to see who can build theres better on a budget. So post a pic of your tire and give some feed back on the terrain you have used them in. Thanks_Anthony

I went on their(Wal-Mart) site and searched 31-10.5-15's.........BF Goodrich and Goodyear.......not exactly cheapo no-names.

Wal-mart actually has a off brand mud tire, you can only get it in certain places though.
Everyone calls in the wal-mart mud terrain. Ive never really heard how they perform, but hey...If your doing this for fun and not for performance, i say give it a try and see what happens.
I believe you can get a set of 35's for 124.36 a pop.
There called "Super Sport Radial HT's"

Pep Boys Definity Dakota M/T (here) totals out at 428.97 with the buy 3 get 1 free.
TreadWright (when they have tires again) totals out to 464.40 for 4 tires and shipping.
I'd say cruise Craigslist. I missed out on 6 33/10.50/15 BFG Muds for 350$ with wheels about 2 weeks ago.

Heck I'll try those on my rig. As much highway running as I do to get to my fishing/camping areas those little radials might be the way to go. If they are less than the TreadWrights then I'll give them a go.
Of course I need to find a set.....

i picked up (5) 33x12.5 Wild country MT off craigs yesterday
about 90% for $125 and a a pair off bully bar steps i pulled off my old truck that i sold.
and i picked up a set of 35 inch BFG mud terrains 40% on wheels a few months ago.
And i just traded him a set of 1.5 inch wheel spacers.

I was all ready to dispute that with a comment about TreadWright tires but after doing the math the Pep Boys tires are less expensive with the buy 3 get 1 free.

About 6 years ago I sold tires at Sears part time and they had a cheap brand "Super Sport" I wonder if this Wall Mart is the same brand because it was made by GoodYear and the all terains were suprisingly a good tire.

I agree with xxxtreme22r. For the money pep boys is your best bet. Walmart is not the cheapo way. Plus when you are having your tires mounted pep boys has much more interesting things to look at then walmart.

Craigslist is also a good place to buy tires on a budget. Different sets are posted almost everyday. And sometimes you can find good tires at good prices at your local tire shop on a clearance sale.

I searched my local craigslist and well theres a set of 39.5x18x15 TSL Boggers for $550 thats a little bigger than i wanted and a little more pricey plus i haven't heard good things about boggers in the snow. I really like those super sport ones i wonder how well they air down in the snow any one own a set or know someone with a set?

Treadwright doesn't make 33's any longer. Not to mention their 31's are on backorder and you can't even preorder 4 of them only 2.
