I have Toyo MT's. They suck. Won't clean out for crap even with wheel spin. I doubt a copy would do any better

Wholly crap, that price looks more than Toyos would be at Schwab

I have the same issue with my toyo M/T. I won't be putting new ones back on when these wear out. Cost to much for not working that well in mud

Wow those are definitely identical to the Toyos...

Personally, I love my Toyos. Sure they're heavy as hell, but they wear pretty good and are very quiet on the road compared to other MTs because of the relatively tight tread pattern. On the rocks and trails they grip just as well as any other tire designed for off-pavement, (especially when aired down) and I have zero complaints (except for weight) since they also perform excellent on the road, where I do 70% of the driving in my truck. They also have a very strong sidewall, which gives me more confidence in the questionable terrains I might choose to venture into. They also look good on my truck Of course, since they are not a "mud" tire designed to clear out thick mud from the tread (and also because a 4-banger Toyota will NEVER make enough wheel speed to properly clear mud), I don't worry about their performance here since most of tires made these days would also perform just as poorly unless you go with an actual "mud" tire, like a Bogger or Swamper, etc., that's designed with wide lugs for clearing mud - but whaddya know, they suck on the road...go figure

basicall our whole club runs the toyo mts. they all love them except for the light people. they cant get the sidewalls to bulge out enough when aired down because the sidewalls are thick.

i was just surprised how identical these tires were and so much cheaper.

I run toyo mt's on my dodge 2500 diesel and i love them i'm on my second set of 38's and couldnt be happier they are quiet doing 80 down the freeway and when it snows up in the mountains where i live, driving in the snow i couldnt ask for a better tire. the snow clears out really well. i love the stiff side walls cause with my camper on its 11'7" to the top of the chimney yes yes chimney got a wood stove in it for sled season anyways it helps with the sway.

this is all my friends get, they seem to go for the 38 inch flavor. i have heard a lot of people complain about sidewalls being too stiff when airing down, but they have never had a problems, but they are also heavier than normal toyotas. as for the highway and around town with normal pressure, they seem to still do awesome! never any problems.

I run 31" Toyo's on my yota and while I have not run them ad off road or any snow time I will say there on road manners are some of the best I have seen for MT's. Very quiet and well behaved on the freeway. Sadly I have not had the opertunity to play with them in the mud.

I wonder if the "lack of cleaning" due to wheel spin is based on tire size or just not enough grunt to spin them. And then would popper gears make a difference. Not trying to hijack just thinking

the center lug is slightly different the fact that fuel makes them is so strange lol since ive only ever seen there wheels and we sell there products but i guess i havent looked into it that much. i ran some 35in toyos on my mud truck and they do great but thats also in a chevy k10 never had them on a toyota.

Wow...your running 22" wheels. I'd like to see what that looks like on a 4Runner...

Anyway...dude you can get the real Toyo's on treaddepot for a little over $1600! And that's not on sale...they have free shipping all the time. I just got 305-70-16 (33x12.5x16) for $780 shipped to my door...oh, I got the A/T II.

My truck has the M/T and they are great. 30,000 miles, still about 1/2 tread left...very quite on the road...and if you have the power to get some wheel speed...the mud cleans out easy. Great in snow and rain also.

Here's the link...
