Tire Problems

Well last night at 3am some punks slashed 2 of my tires in my driveway its a good thing I was still awake and heard them shuffling around in the rocks because they might have got all 4 if I had not jumped up to see what the sounds were.

I called the police and was told that about 30 other people were waking up to the same thing seems they had a gang of tire slashers out having the time of there life's D*heads and nobody got caught yet.

So I guess it was a good thing that I traded them 31x10.5's to a guy for these babes Yes there still 35x12.5's but a lot more aggressive then the B.F.G. KO's that they slashed the spare has never even been on the ground and the rest have only somewhere around 1,000 miles on them. The 31x10.5's I traded for these had 20-30,000 on them JEEP GUY'S got to love there stupidity and he drove 50 miles to trade me what a fool.

Anyway here's a couple pictures for you pic whores anybody ever used these MASTERCRAFT COURSER MT'S before? Not sure what to think of them but I got the receipt from the guy showing he payed 876.38 for the 5 of them and I gave him 4 MICHELIN AT'S for these who got the better deal here I ask ya?lol

So here's the pics let me know what you think and if you have ever used these tires before and how they wear and act off road if you have any experience with them.

I looked into getting some Courser MTs a couple of years ago, but the price jumped and I ended up going with Firestones. I haven't really seen or heard anything bad about these tires. I was told by a couple people with jeeps that they wore like iron...in a good way not a bad

We've got those on our Suburban, but 31-10.50's. They are pretty loud, but they are a pretty good tire. We paid around $350 for 4 in 2004.

And there still on it??? how many miles and how do they hold up after that many miles?? I did notice they are a bit loud but not really to bad it took a few miles to relize that the odd sound I was hearing is the tires and I like that they are set up to take studs if you want to put them in.

Yup. I noticed the stud holes too. They are still on there, but we've probably only put less than 10,000 miles on them, since gas prices skyrocketed shortly after we bought those tires, and we rarely drive the Suburban anymore. They are a good aggressive tread pattern for mud/snow, and they seem to wear evenly, and slowly. I've always wondered if those tires with that tread pattern would benefit from siping (spelling?). Never any problems with the tires, and we did drive up to Washington State and back home in Northern California, which was close to 4,000 miles round trip, since we did quite a bit of driving when we got up there. They handle wet pavement quite well, also mud, snow, and, believe it or not, ice. One of the weaker areas, though, is deep sand. The tread pattern doesn't allow for enough of a paddle action to keep momentum on the sand, so they dig down a couple inches, but airing down might have helped that. Overall, I'm impressed with them. They handle the weight of the Suburban nicely, and even after 4 years, there are no cracks, or anything, they still look fairly new.

once you drive the truck I doubt a tire company will put studs in the holes for you since debris will enter the holes...

sucks about your BFG's but sounds like you got an awesome deal on the trade...

Well it was put on hold untill our new powder coating set up got here(6ftx8ft trucking and build time sucked) and it arrived a two weeks ago and we just got it all wired and ready to run so hopefully in the next coulpe of weeks it will be mounted and powder coated flat black.

It will be on around the same time as my s/ced 3.4 is dropped in gonna also add the BJ Spacers at the same time. Need to get the haring harness to the 00 motor done and redrill the oil dip stick hole and all just time is all.

i thought that with the tires that have the stud holes, once you drove on them, you cannot use the studs.. they have to be put in when you purchase the tires, before they are driven on... did i hear from someone misinformed, or is that about right?
