Ran across a set of 5 almost free 33"x15" goodyear MT's and would really love to put them on my 2000 (sr5, not limited) 4runner..
Is there anything at all in a 15" rim that will clear the caliper?

 

short answer - NO.
buy almost free 33s, resell for profit, buy size that fits.

 

I have a Tacoma and my friend has a 4Runner both 2000 and the 15" wheels work fine

The Toyota ones we both run the stock calipers.

Of course if you have done the Tundra Caliper upgrade it is a moot point.

 

These are what is called the Tri Spoke Wheels from Toyota. They are around the 96-00 year time frame. I got them off of craigslist so dont know what they come off of. They are 15 inch wheels.

 

I don't doubt it. On the 95-02 Taco/4Runner's there was both 15" and 16" wheels equipped on them. Not all of the 16" equipped rigs can fit 15" due to brakes interference unless you bust out a grinder on them.

The above pictured wheels came in both 15" and 16" sizes.

 

Let me rephrase the opening statement... Are there ANY 15 inch wheels that will fit a 3rd gen 4runner that came OEM with 16" wheels?

That should narrow the scope...

 

Now I am curious just how do you know which are the bigger calipers ??

Don`t have anyone close to try one??
