I'm not sure on fitment but why not just fix your current axle. Going to have to remove the old axle anyways so why not just remove what needs fixing and call it good for another 20 years.

The newer axle will be an upgrade for sure but they are wider and the FJs wheels might have a bigger backspacing so they will stick out significantly more. The wheels are 15" still so I would think that they would still fit. You looking for something like these?

Oh, yeah that rig is super clean. Best bet would be to just measure your current wheel and drum and see how much room is left for the extra couple inches.
