for the 285/75/16: the 285 means they are 285mm wide. the 75 means that the sidewall is 75% as tall as the tire is wide(about 214mm tall). the 16 of course means they are for 16 inch rims. these would be equivalent to 32.8"(tall)x 11.2"(wide)x16"(rim size) or about 33'x11"x16"

I've had Wild Country XTX's on my Tacoma for about 60,000 miles (give or take a few). They handle great in wet conditions, no hydro-planing, and no complaints in the mud. Oh, and they last forever.

Check out Cooper Discoverer S/T. I run em on my truck and love em. Kinda noisy though. But they have a nice aggressive look and performance.

I'm hoping I can swing a set before it ends!

Hey Fink,
Sorry to quote you from 1 1/2 months ago, but is there a link to the Goodyear deal on Treadlightly.org? I couldn't find it, so I'm wondering if it's still good.

I've had Cooper ST's on my 88 4Runner and my F350 which I've plowed with. I had good luck with ST's and I like 'em! Just bought Cooper AT3's for the wife's Ford Escape, so we'll see what happens. They are a 55k mile rated tire. Couldn't pass up the wholesale price of $110 per tire for 235/65R16's (I believe were the size).

I have Faulken High Country's on the 94 which I don't like as they are not wearing very well. Next tires will definitely be Coopers but don't know which one yet.

Overall I've liked them. They wear well, and the traction is every bit as good as my original Revo's they are based on. The only downside I see is that the sidewalls look a little beat because they've got 70-80k on them. The sidewalls actually looked old on day one. I got them for like $80 per tire plus $78 shipping a couple of Decembers ago, and you just can't beat that. I could probably go at least half a year again on them (and probably will), but I get impatient and want a more aggressive looking tire.

I installed my hankook dynapros last winter, and they are a great daily tire. Great in the snow, road noise is minimal and the price is fair.

I have never done any serious wheelin with them though.
