Procomp Xterrains
Ok I did a search and didn't find anything too productive so...
Who is running these and what are everyone's thoughts on them? I'm going to 33's and I know 4wheelparts has a buy 3 get one free deal every few months so I'm thinking these may be the best tires for the money.
Let me know what everyone thinks of these

Yeah. I see a lot of mud some snow as well.
I'm curious as to how they wear?? I've heard they are pretty good as far as an onroad/offroad tire goes

in the test in petersons a month or 2 back, they did the worst out of all of the tires they tested in mud(tsls, trxus mt, bfg mt, baja claw). supposed to be nice on the road though

The reason I am looking at the Xterrains is mostly price. You can get 4 for a little more than 3 BFG's.
They seem to be a good tire for someone who does some weekend wheeling and has to commute as well.

I'm just trying to factor everything in (price, on/off road performance) and the Xterrains seem like they are a pretty good deal.

I run X-terrains and I love them. Yeah, they aren't the best tire for mud, but on road they are SOOOO much quieter than any mud terrain that I've seen. They wear somewhat quickly, but remember that you're driving a toyota not a huge ford or other stuff (crap) like that. I do have to say that when you air them down, there's no stopping them. They grab rocks like no other. I would suggest getting them, you can't beat that 4 for 3 price.

On a tangent: I just checked the receipt for the tires I have on my truck, and the dude got them on only 30k ago. Seems a little fast wearing to me, but is that normal? They are Costco's Kirkland Signature all terrains (cheap-ass bastard had this truck before me).

hmmm those X-Terrains sure are pretty though. Did the BFG Mud Terrains change their appearance lately? It seems like I've seen some of them with a bit more tread sticking out the side or something. Maybe it's just me.
Also, can you compare the wear of the two tires?

The tread looks the same, the sidewalls seem a little more aggressive. It would be nice if someone other than ProComp would run 4 for the price of 3 deals. I'd sure love some MT/R's

well I put on about 15 thousand or so on mine and I've got about 60% or so left. I'm running my street tires right now because I came across some money and felt like getting some street tires. In all, I could say that you'd get around 30,000 or more off of those tires. I'm going to stay with the x-terrains mainly because that 4 for 3 deal is killer, and with that deal, it makes it worth it even though they wear down some what faster than others. Not to mention they look awsome and not many people have them. I get asked what type of tires they are quite a bit.
