Procomp AT tire reviews??

i searched and couldnt find any reviews for the Procomp AT.... www.1010tires.com only had 2 ratings....

there is a really good deal on these tires...and wanna know if i should go for it.

Im looking for an at tire as my daily driver only sees dirt 10-15% of the time.

Are these tires any good? wear? noise? wet/dry traction? looks?....anyone?

thanks

Have had 32x 11.50 on my tacoma for about 40k now they have worn very well, they are quiet and I have been happy with the traction in snow. As far as dry traction I havent really been anywhere to extreme with them. Most of the miles I have on them are highway and some gravel road. Have hauled some heavy loads of rock also. Overall I think they are a very good tire and I would get them again if the price were right.

I had them on my F350 and they were great tires for the money. I had 35x12.5x17's... Wet traction and snowy roads were no problem. Wore great too... Judd

man, what a read! you wonder how a business like that actually stays in business. it certainly pays to do your research, caveat emptor, i believe is the term.

yep, been looking at tires myself. I think I may go with the Nitto Terra grapplers and second choice was yokohama geolanders AT +2

Yeah, the scary thing about that picture of that tire on ripoffreport is that its a toyota rim

I have the Yokohama's and I love them. I would go with Pro-Crap anything. If you walk into 4Wheel Parts and ask them to recommend something they are going to recommend Pro-Crap cause they own them and they just want to sell a crappy product for more money than it's worth.

hey Hill, i got a set 3000km ago (265/75-16). happy so far.

dry traction feels as solid as my old michlen cross terrains. wet raction feels fine - ive had no slippage or hydroplaning problems. snow traction is great. i've been on several very icy roads and had better traction than the other vehicles on the same road (ha, many found the ditch). a little more hwy noise than cross terrains but still pretty quiet imho.

keep in mind that these are still basically new tires. others have negative opinions, such is the world of tires. the shop i bought em from (north shore offroad in north vancouver) sells several good tires and has not had any problems to report excepth they wear quickly on 1-ton trucks.

i bought them b/c they were a good price, made by a reputable company (cooper tires are popular up here) and carried the winter weather certification. are they the cat's ass? don't know, i'd have to try many different tires to form that kind of opinion. i also considered bfg at's and nitto terra grapplers (difficult to find in canada).

my .02 fwiw.

cheers

barry

If I were you, I'd avoid them. I priced around for tires before I got my Nittos, and they weren't really that cheap. Sometimes 4Wheel Parts run specials like "buy 3 & get the 4th free." If you add it up, you're still not getting good deal.

Get Nittos elsewhere, or get Bridgestones or BFG's from Costco. Installation is included if you buy from Costco.

Beware - Costco won't install tires larger than factory onto the vehicle (they will mount them on the rim, just not put them on the truck).
