Mud Tire Decisions

I apologize because I know this question has probably been asked before and I did search and read many topics about tire choices but was unable to find the answer to my question. I just recently bought a 1994 4x4 Toyota Pickup and it needs a new set of tires. I need the most aggressive Radial Mud terrain tire I can find in a 31x10.5 size, due to my stock gearing. I have run Super Swampers LTBs in the past and there off-road manners are exceptional but there on road performance leaves something to be desired. I am considering the BFG M/T KM2, Yokohoma Geolander M/T, Buckshot Maxxis Mudder, and Federal Couragia M/T. Any opinions on which tire would be the best at one thing. Cleaning out sticky clay mud, while still providing a tolerable ride on the road. If anyone has another tire they would like to suggest I am definetly open to more choices. I sometimes wonder if it would be worth it to just run the Swamper LTBs and live with the on road manners? Sorry for my ramblings I just dont know exactly which tire to choose and want to make the right choice and be happy with the tires I decide on. Thanks in advance.

Have you looked into the Mickey Thompson MTZ Radials? I have a set of ATZ now and I couldn't be happier with them. They are SILENT compared to my previous BFG and ProCrap AT's - and the tread pattern is pretty nasty (in a good way).

X2 on the Goodyear MT/R's. They are noisy and heavy on-road but they handle great for a tire with such an agressive tread pattern, and I'm sure they handle much better than a swamper. Off-road they are by far the best tire I have ever ridden on. The tread is ridiculous! I have driven through deep snow (1-2 feet), mud, and sand and have never had any problems with getting stuck.

I just ordered a set of KM2, be here Mon. This will be my 3rd set of BFG MTs, but the first set of the new design. The old KM design I was very happy with all around, both sets lasted about 45-50K miles.

Although they are back ordered you might consider these.

Firestone Destination M/T, but we don't have clay here so can't speak for how they will perform in the sticky stuff.

coming from a tire guy I like the bfg km2's if you are off roading alot and dd. Toyo mt's work good too, more for show in my opinion, since i work at schwab i see alot of pavement princess getting them. Hankook Dynapro Mt's or Federal Mt's are another good option.
