If you want 33's, I would recommend the 33x1050s. I have been running the 33x1050 (original km1) on my tacoma with stock gears but I have the 3.4. I am going to upgrade to 255/85r16 tires once these 33s wear out. I am only going to do that because I want the 16" rims to be able to do the tundra brake upgrade, I really love the 33x10.50r15 on toyotas.

the power difference wont KILL you. You would probably only notice it driving up a canyon or up hills on the freeway. I think the 33x1050s are worth it, so you may want to think about it more and maybe change your order if you think you need the clearance of bigger tires, however you will eventually want to regear your truck at some point in time.

I replaced my 35 12.5 15 BFG old style Mud Terrains on my early bronco last year with a set of these (also 35 12.5 15) I ditched the wheel weights and installed dyna beads for balance. So far I have about 8K on this set-up and love them. So much quieter than the old, smoother at 70mph, and no sign of wear yet. If they are anything like the old style you will get great wear out of these. I did not keep track of miles, but I installed them in June of 03 and replaced them in Dec 08. @ trips to Moab and 3 trips to Colorado with never a flat. Lots of tread left, no busted belts, but I had some dry cracking, and sidewall cuts and was facing a trip from SC to Texas in July, and wanted fresh treads. I never got the same wear or mileage from the same size Allterains from BFG, and always had belts bust, even on the ones my 'rota had.

i run 33x10.5 KM2s on my rarely driven 1st gen yota (relativley light weight)...done no offroading, and probably put only 2000 miles or so on them since new in the past year, and they show signs of wear. I could see that 8-10k miles on a heavy truck would really eat at the tread and make them less useful offroad. don't get me wrong, I still have great tread depth and they are wearing even, I'm just saying that they seem a little softer to me than what most everyone else is saying. love the tire and the looks of them and will def. buy them again though.
