Bfg Mt

Going to try and take the plunge tommorrow and take advantage of a sale and buy my new tires. 32X11.5 BFG MT on 15X7 wheels sound good to everyone? Speak now or forever hold your peace

This will be my last mod to the truck. Well... major mod anyways
Next time I post a photo it will be 2 inches taller, with 32"s and a roof rack. Yay!

That's what my setup is and I think it works and looks pretty good. Except I'm now running 15X8 wheels, looked pretty good with the 15x7's to though. I say go for it. Unless of course you want to go for the 33's, which would be cool too if you have the room.

I still have the bfg t/a ko's, but if I ever get lifted and locked, I'll be sure to get m/t's

Ordered them today.
The tire guy didn't recommend putting them on 15X7 rims though, so he was trying to talk me out of it. If you guys say it's okay, then it's okay

Got my Warn receiver hitch in the mail just now, yay!
My plan is coming together perfectly.

Perhaps I will get some cheapo black steelies if I don't like what is happening on the 15X7s.
Anyone have any photos of 32X11.5 on a 4runner?

I would to. Plus it will make your tires wider.

32's on 7's

They'll fit fine. I wouldn't go any bigger on a 7" rim than 11.5 though. I have 32 BFG M/T's on the Runna but I have em on 9" rimz. I used to have 32 BFG M/T's on 7" rimz on my old Coma. They fit, wore, and worked great. You shouldn't have any problems puttin em on stock 7" rimz. Here's a pic of my old Coma with 32's on stock 7" rimz

Is there a pressure that I can run at to minimize the goofy tread wear without popping a bead?

My 32x11.5 pirelli ATs work just fine with the stock 15x7 wheels.

I'm kinda partial to 33x12.5 on 15x10's. Help me decide if the rims should get the Toyota OEM black (waskillywabbit wannabe).

Well, that's a can-o-worms.

The easiest answer I can give you is to do the chalk test for yourself. That means either chalking the ground and driving over it, seeing where it marks the tread, or chalking the tire and seeing what's left after a short pull ahead.
Then just go up and down in air pressure accordingly. chalk on edges of tread = to much air, chalk on middle of tread = not enough air.

As far as your unseating a bead question...I ran my 32's on that Coma as low as 8psi and never unseated a bead. Beings that it's the widest tire you should "street" on a 7" rim, unseating a bead isn't that much of an issue unless your really wheelin' hard terrain with very low air pressure.

BTW: The reason I say "street" is because alot of desert racers use 33x12.5's on 7" rims just for the purpose of it being harder to unseat a bead with that wide of a skin and that norrow of a rim. I've seen it "streeted" that way but it wore in the center BAD.

Hope that helps ya.

Your gonna love em. Although I wheel Swampers and currently run BajaClaws on my Coma, BFG's are hands down the best tire (out of the many I've used over the years)for both street and wheelin'.

Happy Moddin'

Fantastic answer hoodlum, thanks alot!
I'll do that chalk test when I get them on in a few weeks.
Bad thing about living here, EVERYTHING has to be shipped, which takes weeks.

Hoodlum is right, thats what we useto do with the car tires. Had M50x15 rear and L60x 15 front on my 70 Chevelle. Chalk, roll, pressure adjust. BTW maybe I'll leave the rims and just paint the bumpers and loose the boards. Like the way yours looks without Scofco.
